We rented two medium sized SUV's. One of the vehicles, the Chevy Equinox had definitely been smoked in a lot - the smell was really strong. However, was easy pick up and easy drop off so no issues there.

The pickup at Albany International was excellent. The drop-off at Laguardia was very difficult to find. The instructions to '"follow the rental drop-off signs in Laguardia", did not help. Only a GPS enabled us to find the garage. Otherwise the experience was excellent.

Told me they were charging me $15 a day for tolls if I had my transponder turned on. I was only using car to go to my location and back to airport. Only two tolls, I believe each way. The guy at Hertz checked me in and he quoted me something like $6 per day and when I said the Dollar guy told me $15, he corrected and said, "Oh, yeah, they charge that." Will NEVER use them again!

This place sucks - waited over 3 hours, they didn't record the milage in and fuel out correctly (I have photos to prove it). The manager was dismissive and rude and the place is dirty (small pieces of trash littered in front of the counter area). This was the worst travel experience I've ever had and I will never book dollar again. Key take away: Take photos of everything (I mean everything) - milage, fuel, vehicle condition and the line that you have to wait in to get your rental cause otherwise dollar will question the validity of your claims.

We booked months in advance for a particular size vehicle. We received the confirmation email the day before that the vehicle we booked was ready. At the time of pickup, the customer service representative unapologetically indicated they did not have what we booked.

Car was well equipped with blind spot detection, especially useful driving in Boston.

I had reserved a sedan but only SUVs and Mini-vans were available. When I said that I would not drive one of those types of vehicles, I was told that I would have to wait about half an hour. When I said that I would wait, within one minute a sedan was available. Interesting! This is similar to being seated at the worst table in a restaurant when there are no other people there. Is this common practice?

No issues on pick up or drop off. Albany is on site. I had to wait for attendant to show but only a couple of minutes

No signs for car rental returns at LaGuardia so you have to look up yourself.

Car was clean and I enjoyed driving it.

Initial prepaid reservation was for Jeep SUV for 9 days at 449.00. When I called to change reservation to 7 days I was informed new cost would be approx. 1200.00. It took 2 more calls before someone suggested I change car to mid size which would result in price increase of approx. 100.00.

They did not have the type of car I reserved. Therefore I did not rent with them. They wanted me to wait another day to get more car options. They only had an Escalade available and told me if I wantes it I would have to use a major credit card with a $1000 deposit and on top of that charge me more for it per day than what I signed up for.

It would have been nice to have other options like the one i reserved or at least give me the same price for the Escalade they had available.

I liked the final price and the choice of car.

The pickup location listed on the itinerary was not the pickup location. It was the Enterprise gated lot where the inventory is kept, a mile away. The literal hike back to where I knew the Enterprise booth was at the airport (at a completely different address than was listed on my itinerary), was a complete waste of my time. I have had to take shuttles about a mile away from the airport in different locations to pickup rental cars in the past, so the initial directions taking me past the airport did not seem out of the ordinary for pickup at first. Once finally at the counter, the sales rep tried to tell me the insurance I could opt for at $9/day was $14/day. I had it right on the paper print out but he acted "surprised." I am smart enough to know that this was an attempted upsell. I am also aware that you do not even need this insurance, so I asked him to forget it all together. Then I was told that the car rate was going up because of this. Which annoys me. 1.) Because my rate was booked independent of the insurance I hadn't opted into yet, and 2.) Because this was Saturday morning. I was taking a car off his hands for the weekend that would otherwise badly affect his numbers. I almost cancelled all together because of this until miraculously I rented an upgraded car for a discounted rate (that was still an upsell for him) after explaining I know how this works. Way too much BS to go through especially when surrounded by other car rental services in the airport who are also trying to get rid of cars over the weekend. The lines at the other desks were the sole reason I rented with Enterprise.

I liked the vehicle. But what I really liked was that they voluntarily shaved some off the final bill because I had used so little fuel. I had prepaid for gas so I wouldn't have to find a gas station when I returned the car.

The wait at the counter was long, about 20 minutes.
