John was very accommodating and the airport was easy to move around. He even went out and got the car for us as my husband is handicapped and we were his last customer.

The wait time at the airport desk to get the car that was already reserved. John needed help that day! He was very nice, but out-manned with the requests for cars at the time. Wish we could have had a van instead of an SUV. Cost was HIGH I thought compared to a van rental for the same number of days in Florida.

Gas mileage was very good for a large SUV

The SUV was not washed. Dog hair all over the rear luggage area. The back of the front passenger seat was dirty with shoe prints from a child and the carpet on the driver side was dirty.

Gas mileage was great. Prepay your return tank price was well below current price in the area. Still the best price for my area over Enterprise.

Car windows were so dirty I had to stop and clean them before I could drive anywhere. Rental car fees are just outrageous.I prepaid the car on a credit card but you still get socked for a $200 depisit on top of the rental fee.

Someone had smoked in the car previous to our renting it. Not good, they had no other cars for us to rent. Had to wait 30 minutes for the car to be cleaned.

I got to Jacksonville,NC airport late, around 11pm on the 30th of July. There was a Hertz employee; African american female w/ glasses. She was the most pleasant, most helpful and understanding young lady I have ever had the pleasure of encountering. She stayed and waited for my delayed flight to arrive even though she had to be back to work on the 31st at 7am. She took the time to answer all my questions and even though she was tired she was extremely pleasant and helpful. I must admit it is because of this wonderful young lady when i will most certainly use HERTZ again.

Showed up and they said they had no car for me. 10pm and in the middle of nowhere. Apparently they tried contacting me but Hotwire via Kayak gave them a wrong phone #. I have no idea where they got the wrong phone # as my reservation has my phone and e-mail.

The people on both ends were terrific. Friendly and helpful to the max

With the gas shortage it was a little scary leaving on a four hour trip with a little more than 1/2 a tank of gas. Not the fault of Alamo, it was just the reality for me and Alamo. Happily, by driving 5mph under the speed limit, I was able to save gas and extended the expected range of travel by over 45 miles.

The sales associate was very professional. I reserved my rental online so he explained everything to me and answered any questions I had. I didnt even have to wait in line when dropping of the rental i used the drop box🙂 I will definitely be using Dollar rental again!

Rent the car but needed to cancel. My son is deployed and they keep changing his return home. I rented a car but due to his change of plans I needed to cancel. I’ve been talking to representative after representative and no one will give me my money back. So the company sucks for assisting military families.

When I arrived at the airport they informed me that since I was 2 hours overdue that they gave my car away. All cars were rented and I was stranded. Pretty much the worst experience I have had with a car rental company. I now need a refund.

Upon arriving to the OAJ terminal where the Avis counter was, I was informed by the attendant that they had given my vehicle away and had no other vehicles available. I was not notified that they had reallocated my vehicle to someone else. I attempted to contact the Avis helpdesk, but was subjected to a convoluted process/call tree and was unable to receive any clarification as to why my reservation was not found or why the vehicle was given to someone else.

Picking up the car was the easiest experience I've ever had. Man at the counter had me in the car ready to go in less than 5 minutes. I always hate picking up rental cars because they hassle you over everything, but not here. After a long day of travel nothing was more appreciated than being in my rental car that quickly and easily.

The pick up and drop off was a breeze but I had asked for a compact car and received a pick up truck. And the inside of the truck was absolutely disgusting, there was trash on the inside, melted chocolate on the door, rugs and seats were very dirty and the windshield wipers were broken which is highly unsafe. I wont be renting from avis/budget again in the future.

The gentleman who assisted me with my pick- up rental was like no other customer service I've ever seen. He answered every question, and was very informative about the whole process. He was very professional,kind, and he helped me every step of the way. I had a lot of issues with my traveling and when I went to pick up my rental, this gentleman truly changed the whole vibe of the trip. I can't thank him enough. I wish all companies had people like him !

The agency called twenty minutes before my pickup time to tell me they had no inventory. I had to find a different place that costed me triple the amount because it was so last minute.

I asked for fuel prepay and was told they do not offer that. Seemed like the staff just didn’t want to or didn’t know how to deal with it. Ended up not being able to fill up before drop off and had to pay the $9+ per gallon. Not happy. Otherwise was like any other rental car experience.

Recieved the car on less than quarter if a tank of gas. Was told to just fill it up close. “As long as its close you SHOULD be good.” I was concerned of getting penalized for returning the car with less gas and getting extra fees incurred. Car was minimally cleaned, face mask still in the sunvisor from previous renter and used tissues under the seats with trash in the trunk

I had no wait time.

The car I reserved was not available. Was given an upgrade but was not offered any choices. The car I got was not economical on gas, not a smooth ride, and had no modern electronics inside.
