The front desk worker on pick up was very helpful. The rental was great, comfortable and roomy for whole family.

The car was never inspected at pick up or drop off. No one present at drop-off had to put keys in drop box.

Nothing.

I wound up paying more than twice the quoted rental price. Avis hides the fact that they charge by the mile in paperwork that no one explains to you, and of course there are several pages of it. This is by far the worst business transaction I have had with any company. DO NOT use Kayak or Avis!

The Rental Counter was closed when I landed, and there was no help, or instructions available. The corporate help was non-existent. I was forwarded to another contact, who said that the booking should not have been allowed in the first place, but that did me no good and 7pm & no transportation.

Had a one way car hire with drop off in New Orleans. Was told we had 24hrs for our car hire, which was to 4pm, wasn’t told that the New Orleans office closes at 2pm! So left the car and put the keys in the drop box but they then charged us an extra day from my credit card without any correspondence. Disgusting.

We were charged twice one of the payments no one could figure out where it came from is still currently pending on our bank account and we fully intend to dispute it we almost did not get to go on our trip thankful that it ended up working out but not thankful that were $400 in the hole the car was dented and smelled terrible stained everywhere we had to clean the windshield on the inside just to be able to see out of it the tires on one side where bald. We don’t intend to use hertz again

The car was so dirty, I’m talking dirt inside and McDonald’s trash. It smelled like old cigarettes and they had tried to musk the smell with a car refresher right. The Tank was at 3/4. I couldn’t run back inside to tell them it’s unacceptable because it had just turned 5 and they were gone.

Staff not friendly and not helpful

They charged extra driver fee because I prepaid for the car with my credit card but the reservation was in my fiancé’s name. That seems ridiculous that I had to be a driver on the car even though I never sat in the car just because I prepaid for the car through kayak with my card.
