I ended up canceling the reservation on the spot. I’ll never book with this company again. It’s a scam. To improve, they need to completely change their business model and change the people working for them. It would be better if such company did not exist.

Location at the Amsterdam convention center was convenient. They rented us a car with multiple existing scratches the proceeded to claim we scratched a hub cap and charge $300 for repair work. The good news is we were covered through our credit card company who was super helpful but working with Sixt was awful and I won’t ever use them again. Stay away from them as a company.

I had rent a car from 1pm. Turns out the location closes at 1pm. Right on the dot. When I arrived at 1.01, there was no one to be seen and no phone number to call. There was no attempt made to contact me to see whether I was on the way. Very poor customer service.

A problem with Kayak. I wanted to pick up the car 3 hours earlier , Avis was open but ithad to be arranged by Kayak. Kayak was closed due to time difference probably, I made a request through email, never got an answer.

Nice new car.

Waited 60 minutes in line to receive the car. Yes, they had 3 agents working there, but everyone showed up at once and they new it was the case as they now how many cars they release in a day. No line or queue setup either so it was a bit of a free for all in getting up to the front. Finally when returning the car to this location you just have to park it in the neighborhood. Which, leaves you liable for the cars damage, parking charges, and so on until they are open again and receive the car in. Then, to top it all off because I returned the car after hours and was unable to show a gas receipt (when I filled it all the way up) I was charged a flat rate EZ Fuel charge.

This place was very accessible, especially if you are not traveling to-and-from Amsterdam through the airport. You can walk to this location from the main train station!

The service was pleasant, but we had to wait about 30 minutes at both pick-up and drop off to talk to an agent.

Instead of looking for solutions, the person at the desk kept repeating why we couln'd rent the car. I can understand the reasons why alamo doesn't accept prepaid credit cards (although Sixt does), but can't accept to have receptionists being so unresponsive and clearly lacking skills to look for solutions.

I planned my trip with rented car, but when I came to pick it up, Alamo personnel just rejected to give me a car without any grounds. The only thing they told me - “We don’t like your credit card”. They did not even try to pay with it. When I started to ask to talk to senior managers - they called the police to get me out of the office. Young woman manager also told me that I make problems for them because of my nationality. That is completely unacceptable. As a result I had to go to the airport to rent a car from Sixt and spent additional 2 hours and paid twice for the airport tariffs

Νοίκιασα ένα αυτοκίνητο για 2 ημέρες και όλα κύλησαν άψογα. Το αυτοκίνητο ήταν καινούργιο, με πολλές ανέσεις για την κατηγορία του(μικρό αυτοκίνητο με line tecnology, cruise control κτλ.). Ακόμα και το προσωπικό ήταν πολύ εξυπηρετικό απέναντί μας και μας έδωσαν άμεσα λύση σε μία παρεξήγηση που πήγε να γίνει(από δικό μου λάθος). Τα χρήματα που κράτησαν για ασφάλεια αποδεσμεύτηκαν σχεδόν αμέσως(σε 2 εργάσιμες ημέρες). Θα το ξανά προτιμήσω.

The car had a chokolate wrapper fell between the seat and thr handbrake from the previous person who rented our car,now.. normaly i wouldnt care but it says premium cleaned or something, now also… i wouldnt even care about that im from Croatia we are easy going people, but if i did this i would probably get chraged or something becouse of the “company policy” or some other general explenation, but non the less the service was great,the car was better then we expected ! and we even got the car a lil bit behind the deadline and we really apreciated that, 10/10 i would recomend the company ! and the service :)

Fast, easy, seamless to pick up and return.

When we booked the car, there was no indication that the office would close early (12pm) on our return day or that after hours return requires paying 6€ per hour for parking. On Google maps the hours stated open until 6pm. More transparency would have been appreciated.
