Cheap Car Rentals in Piedmont Heights, Atlanta

This was a nightmare of an experience. I reserved my rental car through kayak for pick up at the Atlanta airport. My flight was delayed by 2 hours, and when I arrived to the Atlanta airport Hertz location they advised me that my car was actually reserved at the peachtree location, and that that location closed at 6 PM. They then proceeded to advise me that since I had pre-paid that reservation there was nothing they could do for me. They could not transfer my Hertz reservation from the Peachtree location to the Hertz at the Atlanta airport location. So I then ended up paying an additional $740 to rent the exact same car!! Grateful I had a credit card that I was able to put this on, but not everyone is so fortunate. I just do not understand how a company cannot transfer services between different locations. It’s quite ridiculous!

When I requested my rental, my pickup location was entered as Atlanta Hartsfield airport. When we arrived at the Hertz counter in the airport, the rental was in Buckhead-a suburb of Atlanta. To transfer the location was $2100.00 Instead, we took a $35 Uber ride to Buckhead. My blame is not on Hertz but on Kayak which I will not be using again. When we returned the car to the Toledo Ohio location I was given a credit for our Uber cost, and they were very apologetic. Next time I will book directly thougfh Hertz

The Service all around service

Terrible experience- only 1/4 tank of gas in it when we got in it, maintenance light on because it needs oil change, car windows very dirty and could barely see out of front windshield when it started getting dark, smelled like smoke inside, brakes bad - had to push all the way to floor for them to work, extremely low tread on tires - the tech at tire shop noted it to me when I went by because the low pressure warning light came on the next morning after it sat overnight.

AVIS IS A JOKE, PRICELIN, KAYAK, EVERYONE IS A JOKE. NO CAR AVAILABLE. NOT AVAILABLE FOR ME AND NOT AVAILABLE FOR ANOTHER 10 PEOPLE WHO WERE STRANDED THE SAME AS ME. AVIS HAD THE LIST OF PEOPLE GOING TO PICK-UP CARS THAT MORNING, EVEN THEN THEY DID NOT THINK IT WAS IMPORTANT TO HAVE CARS AVAILABLE FOR THEIR CLIENTS. THIS IS UNHEARD OF. BUT I LEARNED MY LESSON. STAY AWAY FROM PRICELINE AND OTHER MIDDLEMEN. THEY DON'T CARE.

They did not have a car despite a reservation. A car reservation is not a promise on the part of Avis, just on the customer side. They totally suck.

Took my reservation, charged me $60 for insurance and then had no car. At least the agent called me an hour before pickup time to tell me they had no cars to rent.
