The staff were so friendly and helpful. The process from pick up to drop off was smooth and fast. I only had 2 incidents: one was the car tire pressure alert and having to stop to put air into the right rear passenger tire. The staff were sorry for that inconvenience, The second : The Nissan Altima has many safety feature alerts- some I was not aware of- in heavy rain- so if you are unfamiliar with the car you are renting- ask the questions before you drive away. The staff are helpful to answer questions.

Upon arriving the customer service rep in Austin airport told me it will be an additional $40 because the drop off location on the reservation (off airport San Antonio) is closed. He told me to step away while he takes other customers and I think about it. He will not give me the car without paying the extra. I asked for a manager who agreed to give me the car and I would return it at the airport instead and get charged the extra $ but dispute it later. I wasted over and hour and a half dealing with this, after I flew overnight 12+ hours. Turns out the location on my initial reservation has a garage and easy self checkout 24/7. Very frustrating that the employees have no clue about other offices and/or access to more info as employees of the same company.

Very nice drop off staff. Check-in guy wanted me take economy car since it was intermediate sold out; he did not offer me a discount for smaller car. I asked for intermediate or larger; he gave me a larger car. He was very polite though.

They tricked at the counter, the attendant never told me I was going to be charged for an upgrade. When I received my final bill by email, I realized they charged me $30 for an "upgrade" that was never delivered or discussed at the counter.

AS BAD AS IT COULD BE! The car was in terrible condition, ketchup on the door panel, plus had a disgusting juice spill all around the cupholders. Employees maybe we're waiting for a customer to clean up the car. The car had mirror lever is broken, head console buttons (SOS) where jammed/broken.

I didn’t get the car or help from the staff. Still charged full amount.

I scheduled a same day pick up via my phone And the city auto populated to the neighboring city. I didn’t realize this until I went to pick the car up - kiosk guy directed me to customer service line but no one answered x 5. Called again the next day and was told it was too late.

Car had almost no engine power, it was dangerously slow-speedup while merging onto freeway ramps, changing lanes the car was diesel volkswagon Jetta - i felt horrible for causing much more pollution compared to gas/hybrid

Was waiting for a "confirmation" on my rental; never received it until the day we were to leave for our trip. No way for "priceline" to do business , and then say that it was NOT cancellable. had gottten another rental when this one showed up on my lap top. BE CAREFUL who you select for your rental.

It was easy to book online and great price, however there was NO car when I arrived to pick it up

After waiting in line behind TWELVE customers, I reached the counter and was told that NO cars were available. Budget should NOT allow cars to be rented that do NOT exist in reality. This is inexcusably poor customer service. I had to rent a car from another company for twice the price and was at the airport for 90 minutes longer than I should have been

Were concerned that no walk-around to review any car dings occurred before leaving the rental lot (especially because we saw a small crack in windshield), and no walk-around occurred after return of the car either. We assume it’s just not an issue.

Pickup and drop off were easy as they could be. Signs entering the Austin airport could have been more helpful when returning the car. We had to u-turn twice to get to the right place. That's not the fault of the rental car agencies. The car was clean and we were given a thorough walk around before pulling off. It drove and behaved beautifully. We returned the car two days early and there were no questions and our final charge was adjusted accordingly.

We waited in line to get the car for almost an hour. They then told us they had none of the midsize SUV’s, which is what we rented. We were charged $200 to get a bigger SUV because we couldn’t fit our passengers and luggage in a car, which is the whole reason we reserved a midsize SUV. After an hour of all the waiting we go out to the spot out car was supposed to be and there was no car. We had to back inside and wait until the clerk could help us. They gave us a different car that was filthy and sounded like it was going to die the entire time. When we returned it we were charged 15% tac and that on top of the $200 extra for the upgrade we didn’t want but weee forced to take were more than the original advertised rental fee. I will NEVER use dolllar rental again.

The car broke down and the emergency road assistance took 4 hours to pick up the car and more 1.5 hours to get replacement with Avis Whole business day lost and couldn’t make it to meeting . No compensation given no apologies expressed

Staff working airport service desk were very nice. But… Time: It took about an hour from time I arrived at counter to time I drove out of garage. Product: I didn’t get the car/category I had reserved. Garage Staff rushed me into a car from a different category, that wasn’t as comfortable as the car I had reserved. I had reserved a Toyota Camry (or equivalent) but ended up with a small Mitsubishi SUV (hard seats, loud road noise, low horsepower). Service; like I said, the counter staff were nice. The garage staff weren’t so much. They acted like they were doing me a favor by not charging me more for the car I ended up with, which clearly wasn’t the experience I was seeking. Cleanliness: The vehicle had a used mask hanging on the sun visor and some dirt in back floorboard. I know it’s tough for them right now, so I don’t like to complain. But this was not the car I wanted to drive around my 80 year old mother on a road trip.
