Our rental was given away, since we were late due to a flight delay. The staff told us we had to call the main hertz office to start a refund and even though they had cars on the lot said they couldn’t help us. One was even on the phone and told another couple she leaves in 1 house so they only had 15 minutes to figure out what they needed before she has other things to do. When we checked online those cars were still available. We are now going through the refund process and went with another rental car service who were a 1000% better!

No options for after hours drop-off at return location. Was only 30 minutes late and Hertz charged me an additional $750 (!!!) to drop off the vehicle at another location. Will never give them another dollar.

Hertz allwed me to book a rental without actually having availability and no courteosy call to let me know this until I called them less than 24 hours before pick up to confirm my rental did they break the news to me I actually had no rental due to none available. Ruined my plans horribly that weekend.

You booked me for the vehicle and I then received a call that there were no cars available. I tried to return the call MULTIPLE times with no answer. Then tried to book directly through Enterprise with no cars available.

The staff and car was great but Kayak was not clear on their websites that the Enterprise I booked at was NOT the Enterprise at the airport. By the time we landed and realized this problem the location our car was at was closed for the day. PLEASE make rental car locations clear, not just with an address, we're from out of town, we don't know street names - label it as the airport rental location.

Easy and quick pick-up and drop-off process. Woman at the desk was very helpful. Not located far from downtown Austin and much less expensive than renting from AUS. Recommend

- Confusing to navigate to the location. The address is for the entire shopping mall so it's hard to find the first time. - Not much car selection but the cars there are decent.

Pretty good price to pick up in one city and drop off in another. The agent who I picked the car up from was friendly and accommodating when I came back to tell him the gas tank was not full.

The gas tank was less than half full when I picked up the car, and the car smelled like smoke when it had a no smoking sign on the window.

I ended up with a nice car that suited my needs for the trip. There was some damage to the car but it was documented. Drop off at the airport was much easier than I expected and the agent there knew what he was doing. I also found snack crumbs in the driver's side door when I got in but it was otherwise clean and comfy.

They didn't have the car I reserved at the location, and all that was left was a smaller car that wouldn't fit my needs. After discussing, the representative told me he could give me one other car, a nicer SUV, because someone had a reservation for it but hadn't shown up at their time. It was a bit more than what I ordered (and I already thought the prices were pretty ridiculous) but I needed a car! And it was not as much as it would be to order this SUV from the beginning. I sure hope I didn't put someone else without a car but was told it was sort of "first come first serve" at this location. That doesn't make much sense with reserving a car but stuck between a rock and a hard place, I went for it and it worked for me.

The van was very roomy and had lots more storage for bags than it indicated on the website. We drove to Colorado with six passengers and it was ideal... a seventh passenger would have been a tight fit! The van got great gas mileage (above 25 mpg). And there were no issues with pick up or drop off.

Budget asks that you sign an extra driver onto the rental for an additional $65. This is, in my estimation, a completely predatory charge. Since we were covered by our own insurance, which covered any additional drivers, we did not have to give them any money for an extra driver. When we called and asked about this the agent told us that it was needed because in the event that we were pulled over, the car would be impounded by the police if the driver was not on the budget policy. This was not true! FAKE NEWS! In fact, we got pulled over and the driver was not on the policy and the police officer only asked to see the policy and the drivers license of the person who rented the car. Don't get scammed by Budget. If you have your own insurance then don't pay for an extra driver.
