Cheap Car Rentals in Waterfront, Boston

The Budget Rental on 270 Atlantic avenue in Boston does not provide an airport courtesy ride. Customers using this facility must be prepared to ride a cab or Uber to this location. The rental had less than half tank of gas. Most rental companies I have used normally provide a full tank of gas and the vehicle is returned with a full tank.

- friendliness - vehicle was not checked (empty windshield washer fluid) - no 24/7 drop off (supposed to pay for parking for drop off) I genuinely have no clue how this station is still in business and avis allows this

The car was clean and free of damage. Dianne, at the front desk, was friendly and informative. She made sure we knew exactly where to go and exactly what actions would lead to additional charges. The process was fast and easy and I would definitely rent a car here again!

Need to ensure that small details such as having the tire caps in place so the tire pressure light doesn’t come on

My flight got in late and I was going to miss the closing time of the car rental place. After two unsatisfactory calls to National trying to see if they could stay open later to wait for me, I made a third call and was assured that the place would stay open an extra hour as my flight was late and that was their policy. When I got there (absolutely within that hour), they were closed and I was stranded, having to find alternative transportation and never got that rental car from National.

Good price. Excellent car and efficient service coming and going

The process of picking up and dropping off was good and quick. The Problem: they charged much more than promised. We did not get a receipt upon drop off.

The location was a bit hard to find in order to pick up the car, it was not at the airport and I needed to take an Uber ride to the location and then still ask around to find out it was 8 stories up a parking garage. Uber was quick, however, and after finding the location, all was seamless with great customer service.
