We were quoted 507.13 but we were charged 746.33, in addition, the amount held in our account was almost $1000 for the rental. The tires were balding and the car was shaky if you went above 50-60 mph. The car was not clean, there was garbage in it from the prior person who rented it.

Used kayak to order a rental from hertz in niagra falls. Somehow it got switched to Buffalo so me and all last 2 other families had to get ubers too and from the rental place that was 30 minutes from the airport

We arrived at the pick up location at 4:50 pm and our pick up time is 5:00 pm. However, the store closes at 5:00pm and when we arrived there, the store had closed and we could not pick up our car in any way.

Car was in rough shape, several issues while we had it which made for a stressful experience. Pick up and drop off went smooth but staff was only minimally concerned about the problems with the rental…low psi on tires, reverse light out, broken seat belt buckle, not filled gas upon pick up. Overall I wouldn’t return to Hertz again.

Pick up was fine. The car was clean ish but smelled kind of like urine. Drop off was not good. Workers standing around but noone came to accept the drop off. We went inside to drop off the keys and made note of the mileage, gas and time of drop off as per the instructions. The employee said that the information was already logged as the system is electronic. He also told me that I had to pay for a fuel surcharge because the gas tank wasn't completely full. I actually returned the car with more gas than when I picked it up and they still charged me! I filled up 8 miles from the drop off location and explained this to him. He was nice and seemed to empathize but said there was nothing he could do. Beware and go somewhere else!!!

Being this was my very first experience using Alamo, I was impressed with the ease of reserving, picking up, and returning a rental. Every staff member I encountered was professional, helpful, and courteous. The initial price of the rental was better than I had expected. I look forward to using Alamo again!

The initial payent of the rental was low, but he final payment upon return was $20 more because we forgot to fill the tank! Overall our rental experience was excellent! My advice: be sure to gas up before returning the vehicle!

Only suggestion / request would be to have the windows cleaned before rental. They were covered with the road salt solution which created a lot of glare from headlights at night. Not being used to the vehicle or the location, it was bit of a driving hazard.

Didn’t have vehicle ready for us. Needed car to drive three hours away to catch flight. Finally Got vehicle and went home to get kids and saw they didn’t install the car seats we rented like originally stated so had to go all the way back to get them. Ended up late for flight to where they almost didn’t let us board and didn’t get to fill tank due to the time because of them so charging me once again to fill the tank. Horrible experience

They never contacted us to tell us they were closed due to snow. As a result we drove all the way down to the pick up location and no one was there. No one would answer the phone. There were other customers standing outside in the snow with there bags and no place to go. It was really sad.

I reserved and paid for a SUV and received a tiny version of an SUV, very small rental for a very expensive price, horrible customer service, if you ever want to reach the rental location, it takes you to customer service in Mexico, horrible experience, will not re-use nor recommend AVIS. Almost missed my flight.

Slow service on pick up. No snowbrush in a vehicle picked up in Buffalo NY. Oil light came on 1 hour into the trip. Vehicle not maintained well. Couldn’t give me a printed or email receipt for rental.

The whole experience was unhappy. The least they could have done, was call me to let me know that the car I rented, was not available. I had to find a ride all the way to the car rental agency, only to find that they did not have the car that I booked.
