Cheap Car Rentals in Charleston Airport

Our customer service woman was great, very friendly & personable!! The ONLY issue we have is that she said she was upgrading us & we didn’t feel as though the car she put us in was an upgrade. Other than that everything was perfect!! Would definitely rent from Hertz again!

Given us the plug in cord so we could have recharged. Staff was excellent at pick up and when we added a driver.

Easy rental for a day trip to Charleston

The hardest part of the car rental experience in Charleston air port is the long walk from the terminal to where the cars are located. Other than that, the whole car rental is a breeze !!

Kristin was great getting us into a nice rental on a very busy day where our particular style was not yet available. The only problem was that after leaving the lot and arriving at our hotel a few miles away, I discovered the gas tank was only 2/5's full. Upon return, they did say they would adjust my account to make up for that. Have not seen it yet but the gentleman gave me the impression that this would be taken care of professionally.

You didn't ask me whether I was under 25 and just assumed I was +25, but the car I initially received a price quote for was only for +25, and the next cheapest car was >$100 more expensive.

Severe weather warnings caused an airport change and a 2 hour drive to another city. The last minute rental through Kayak was easy. The agent at the Charleston Enterprise was very helpful.

Great deal on one way rental. Staff at Hilton Head drop off location were especially pleasant and helpful.

The price was great but a little effort on their part could have made this a great rental. Part of this is my fault for taking the car in the first place. After starting the car a warning light came on telling me I had low air pressure in one of the tires. It was showing 27 psi and I was in a hurry so I figured I would find air at a gas station when I stop...Wrong. It took three stops and 45 mins of my time to find air. Early the next morning I started my journey from CHS to IAD only to have to pull over to clean my interior windows. The outside windows were a mess also and cleaned them later in the day. Then about 5 mins into my trip I noticed a bad vibration and the the car pulling slightly to the right. I had to put up with this for the next 8 hours. When dropping off the car at IAD I informed the the arrival personnel of the problems and he appeared not to take any notes and mentioned the mechanics will look at it...But how is he going to know what to look at! A little more effort could have made this a great rental.

There was a cleaning rag in the car. The mirrors were not cleaned and muddy. There was no floor mats and we really wanted to clean the sand, but there was no way we could do it.

The rental car was dirty and not running properly.

Waited almost 3 hour to pick up the rental from Charleston airport.

Spend 3 hours waiting in line to pickup a vehicle. Single person was handling reservations process at the counter with large number of customers waiting in line. The second attendant didn’t arrive until 9pm. Also, didn’t receive the type of car I reserved. I either had to wait for the my reservation to get prepared (cleaned) or take what was available. Didn’t want to wait any longer do went for “what is ready” option. Daly rental rate was better than the competition, but after spending 3 hours waiting in line, one starts questioning the worthiness of the saving.

My pick up - I had a reservation - required my standing in a line in the Charleston airport for over 2 1/2 hours . The process was tiring - lots of unhappy customers . When we finally were assigned a car - we went to the lot to pick up , whereby things were even more confusing . Employees were not accommodating and did not seem to know what was going on . It was an extremely frustrating experience , which I have never encountered with a rental car company - ever - I’m sad to say . The only downside of our entire trip .
