Cheap Car Rentals in North Charlotte, Charlotte

The car I rented was filthy inside and also the last person was smoking marijuana and cigarettes in the car. It was overwhelming. It wasn't until I got to my final destination I realized why I had such a bad headache. I would like the manager to call me and credit some of the rental. For someone who is a non-smoker and very sensitive to smoke it was 10 hours in a car that stunk so bad inside. Both the woman who checked the car out to me and the man who checked in the car were super friendly and kind.

I reserved the car rental for an upcoming trip to Charlotte, knowing I needed transportation while there for 4 days. The day I arrived I called to the store where I would do pickup to verify their hours. I was greeted with there are no cars available even though I had a reservation. I was told to call customer service for further assistance. That call resulted in the representative and a manager scheduling me for the next day. The manager was to email me confirmation but I never received. Anyway, I called to the that store and was greeted with same message. Unless I had reservations prior to that moment I was going to be out of luck. I received a call after 11 am on 3.26.22 stating there were no cars available. Totally unacceptable. I ended up going with a different car rental company, paying more. Not a very good experience!

I was unable to get a vehicle

The times the office is open are incorrect online and corporate has no idea when their branches are open or closed showed up an hour and a half before they closed and they were already closed got left stranded. Called corporate again they told me I was wrong and the place was open with the lights off and the doors locked. I had to take a 300+ dollar taxi to where I was going that night as everything else was closed.

I flew to Charlotte because I had the rental car setup in Charlotte. That's very important to understand because I would not have flown there otherwise. When I landed I got a voicemail telling me I had no rental car. I called them and they said they have nothing for me and they have no responsibility to help me or do anything. They said its just a reservation. I said can you please help me, I am literally stuck in Charlotte with no place to go. I was driving to Charleston to a hotel for a wedding. The guy told me give me a few minutes and I'll call you back. He never called me back. I had to book a flight for over $800 for my wife and I too fly on to Charleston which is insane.

I have visited the office as my reservation, and the guy in the office refused to give me the car and refused to complete my booking, I give him all the needed documents: 1- Valid passport with valid B1 US visa 2- valid international driver license (Jordanian license) 3-Valid credit card with my name printed on the card 4- my booking confirmation number the employee refused and said I have my own role and I can't complete the reservation here because you hold a non US-driver license, he said you can go to avais office in Charlotte airport, I called the airport office and they said we are fully booked, but you must be okay with your reservation according to our policy I returned to the office and I talked to the same guy (he refused to tell me his name), I told him this is your policy in regard to international travelers and you can find it in your website if you don't want to read it from my phone, and there's nothing prevent you to complete my booking and give me the car, he refused again and said I have my own roles and I don't have car's for you and I'm done with you, you must leave because it's 6:00 PM and I want to close the office. And he left me outside without a car and without being able to complete my reservation and he disrupt my whole plan which I rent a car to do it. Unprofessional, rude and disrespectful employee and I will never deal with this disgusting company (Avis) anymore.
