Cheap Car Rentals in Colorado

I upgraded to a larger vehicle, but when I came out, there was going to be a slight wait to get one. I went ahead and took the size I had originally reserved because I was in a hurry (plane had been delayed twice) thinking I would straighten it out when I returned. However, upon return, the office had already lowered the cost to the original amount, so there was no follow up visit I needed. Other businesses could learn some tips from the way I was greeted and treated. I will rent from Alamo again.

Friendly, helpful and efficient. Had to wait longer than expected to be picked up at the airport, but no wait for transport to airport when it mattered most!

Car reaked of smoke and in addition after returning it they tried to claim I damaged the vehicle, which I did not. Really poor experience.

They were extremely busy when we went to pick up our rental, but they were so efficient that we were in and out of there more quickly than I expected. The associate that took care of us was friendly and efficient. When he realized he didn’t have a car available in the category we had reserved, he upgraded us and kept us moving. Overall, it was a great experience.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! WE WAITED NEARLY TWO HOURS TO PICK UP OUR VEHICLE @ 1AM ON A FRIDAY MORNING. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM BUDGET IN DENVER EVER AGAIN!

Nobody seemed interested in serving clients standing in line. Pickup was very slow. 4 people available behind counter but served one at a time.

Was pleased that the small SUV i reserved had AWD without asking, at denver airport you probably would have to negotiate up to get it as none of the rental places there will guarantee AWD. also had a ski rack but that was just good luck, i didnt request it. anyway, well equipped for a week skiing. the check-in by the baggage claim was a breeze, as well as the drop off on return.

Good vehicle but the company was only willing to rent me a mustang for a 10 day trip when snow was expected in Denver, CO. It would have been nice if they were willing to rent an appropriate vehicle w/o my pushing it. I explained I had a torn acl and brace still on so preferred to have a vehicle that i would feel more comfortable driving in CO conditions. They wouldn't budge. I ended paying $200 extra to get a vehicle that was going to be safe. W/ that said, it was my fault for trying to get a deal and selecting "manager's choice" through kayak.com. That literally means they will try to dump whatever car they have onto their customers. You get what you pay for and I don't recommend going through Dollar as a company they don't seem to care for their customers. Lesson learned :)

There was no easy way to cancel reservation. Tried calling and could never reach any one.

At arrival, rental office only had one worker and wait was over 45 minutes to get to desk. One worker way too few for this airport and time of day (4:00 PM). Drop off was easy and convenient.

Expect to wait in a long line to pick up your vehicle. They will likely try to upcharge you. Our car needed the tires filled and the key had low battery.

Overcharged at the rental place because they didn't have awd

The customer service was horrible .. no one wanted to help me I asked two people to help me .. both of them told me they were busy and to go find some one else .. I stood there and waited for 15 min .. when the next shuttle came around .. the lady said I can help who’s next. I immediately said something to her and she said , I was busy at the time is there no one there to help you I said no . Still no one helped me .. eventually some one showed up to help me… i told him what happened he just looked at me. So I said ok im going to just let it go. Then they gave me my car , the Car gas tank wasn’t on full and it smelled like smoke , cigarettes . I pulled up to the exit and I told the employee hey this gas tank isn’t on full and the car smells like smoke . He said I will note it that the car smells like smoke and the gas tank you can bring it back on this . i bring the car back , the clerk tells me to leave the keys in the car shuttle would be over there . I get in the shuttle and I goto board my plane . As I’m boarding I checked my email. And i got my receipt . They CHARGED ME A SMOKING FEE FOR $400! … Messing up my credit card and I’m pretty sure it’s going to mess with my credit score . This place is a nightmare . It’s poorly ran and it looks like they hire any one to work there .. the rate was $35 a day and it def shows why
