Cheap Car Rentals in Stockbridge - Canonmills, Edinburgh

The car was to come with a GPS but it wasn’t installed. They don’t provide portable GPS units. Fortunately we have a cell phone with us and the charge cord fits. They were very helpful in explaining the car’s features and the car manual was supplied.

A car was available for me to drive. That was good. The bad: 1) Original quote was for £ 275 - the local Hertz desk charged me £ 691 and tried to charge me over £ 800!! 2) I requested an automatic transmission and got a stick 3) there was a huge scratch in the rear passenger door 4) There was no return sign at the Inverness airport for Hertz, all the other rental car agencies were represented but not Hertz. We had to drive around for 10 min trying to find it, and luckily saw the tiny Hertz sign upon leaving the airport. Kind of a disaster regarding the drop off.

We enjoyed our Ford Kuga for our Scottish Highlands road trip. Although the car doesn't have the oomph as other cars, it certainly met our needs. The car had ample space for our luggage and provided a good ride.

Make sure when you’re in Scotland you’re aware business close at 16:00 on weekdays. We arrived after that and SIXT charged us, wouldn’t let us cancel and wouldn’t refund us money
