Cheap Car Rentals in Edgewood, Fort Lauderdale

Please put somewhere on the website that when someone is going to drop off at a different location, they must use a credit card - cannot use debit card.

I became a Gold member in order to avoid lines and people. I was told I didn’t have to get in line just look at the screen for my name. My name wasn’t in the screen so I had to make a line. They finally tell me the exact location of my car. I get to it and I see a car that does not match what I rented. I asked two different workers there what do I do. Both of them tell me to just take the car. I explained to them I just arrived from a long flight and I have a baby. I do not want to be back and forth so please confirm. They both tell me just take it, not a problem. When I am leaving parking lot, the manager tells me I have to get all my things out of the car and go to a different car. I explained to him what his two workers have said to me and how I had already put my baby’s car seat in. Main reason I wanted confirmation before. He gets mad and me and tells me to move out the car quickly. I found it rude and disrespectful for him to treat me that way after I wanted to avoid all that and become a gold member for what? Still issues came nothing was smooth. I had my family of five getting out in the middle of the exit, rearranging the stroller and bags again. They refused to give me my license until I switched cars, acting as if I would steal something? I never cared for the car I just wanted to get my family to the hotel. The treatment was unnecessary especially since I was the one making sure which car to take. Avoid!

My wife picked up the rental and accidentally purchased cdw insurance. I called and could not get through to a human. The office where it was picked up did not answer the phone. I stopped in a different office and asked to remove the cdw for the remainder of the trip and was told that could only be done at the original pickup location, which is ludicrous.

We never got our car. We had to find and pay for another car from Hertz. I was on the phone with dollar for an hour and couldn't talk to a live person. It was 1am and I was stranded at the airport. Another 200$ to Hertz for one night, then back to the airport my first day of vacation to get another car from Avis. I am still trying to get a refund from dollar. It was a horrible experience. Hertz and Avis were great. I will not book another car with you, I will go directly to the agency.

45 minute wait to get to agent to pickup car, first car didn't work, second car had error message after 30 minutes' use. Go to a real car rental agency, not Dollar.

The pick up line was really long with very few representatives working. This was not a great experience especially after a long flight. Drop off was easy, but the price had a large difference.

This was a brand new Santa Fe. There was a mechanical issue that caused us some problems but we got through it. And the dealer, Budget adjusted the rate to compensate us for this. All in all a great experience

The car was almost new (only 5000 mi).

Loved the Nissan Sentra. Drop off was particularly easy, however the rental counter is not on site at the airport. A shuttle is needed to pick up the car and return to the terminal. Glad the weather was pleasant. At pick up, the woman who attended me had an unpleasant attitude making it obvious she did not like her job.

Everything was great

They wouldn’t accept my reservation. They said it wasn’t reserved directly from Avis. I was there over an hour. I still don’t know what the final charge will be.

It would have been nice if Avis honored the reservation. They claimed the code was put in for a hard top and not a convertible as ordered. I had to pay an additional $107. I have notified the Massachusetts Attorney General.
