Picking up the car was easy in Genoa. The car was clean, comfortable and easy to drive. The employees were kind and reasonable. Great Experience!
The car we chose was not available because we were there a half hour early. It's really hard to judge traffic in a foreign country, so there should be a little more flexibility. It was also difficult to get customer service to change our dropoff location - I had to call multiple times after getting disconnected multiple times. We had better luck with Dollar than with it's sister company Hertz, which even with a reservation, we were 86th in queue after an 8 hour flight and no sleep. We ended up paying $350 for a car service to get us to our destination at the beginning of our trip. It might have been due to the airport (Milan vs Genoa) and the large flight we came in on, but they were ill prepared at Hertz.
