The Staff was friendly and helpful. The New London branch accomodated my pick-up on Sunday morning in Groton since the Groton branch was closed on Sunday.

The car had a faint odor of skunk. Better smelling cars would be good.

When I went to pick up the car the guy behind the front desk was more interested in watching tv and getting off early then helping me get the paperwork and car pick up( pick up was at 1700 and they are open till 1800)When I got the keys and was doing a walk around the clerk was already out the door and zooming off in his personal vehicle. The rental wasn't cleaned that well, there was trash and receipts from the previous driver. When I dropped the car off one of their people jumped in the rental and left before I could go over the car with them.

Do not go to this Hertz if possible. Booked on Kayak for 1 day. This hertz is closed on Sundays so I had to pay for 2 days even though I only used the car for 24 hours. Very frustrating. The car also smelled like smoke and was extremely dirty.

Made a reservation for a car to transport my 80 year old mother who, while undergoing cancer treatments, fell and broke her femur. She had recovered and we needed a large sedan so she could easily get in and out. Called day before and confirmed with agent that we were all set with a sedan. Showed up for pick up and they said the only vehicle left was a large SUV that my Mom couldn’t possibly get up into. Asked the agent what she recommended I do and she provide no assistance. No offer to call around and check inventory at other locations. Nothing. Just a poor attitude. No empathy at all for my situation. Conclusion: rent with Hertz and that’s all you’ll get…a whole lot of HURTS!!!

we got the chevy spark as a Manager's Special! I would hate to see the Manager's "Not" special what an awful car and unfortunately a smokers car! It stank us out all the way to Bradley!

The car was too small for what we needed it for. It was dangerous on the highway because of its size the large trucks couldn’t see us and we were afraid for our safety. We tried to upgrade the car to get something bigger at a different location and were told they couldn’t help us and that it wasn’t their problem. There were no other cars available to rent In our area so we couldn’t cancel our rental and get something to else. When we called for help we were told to us the app which didn’t work and the app told us to call a rental location for help. Absolutely awful experience and we will never rent from Hertz again. If Hertz continues to treat their customers like this they will go out of business. Very disappointed.

I rented a Jeep Cherokee or similar to help my daughter move. I was offered a micro-suv that would not have been big enough. They had a 7 passenger Toyota 4 Runner which I accepted. The rate increased 150% to rent the same size car I previously booked. The suv had 57k miles on it and needed brake pads.

Only one person on staff - she was on the phone when I came in but she helped me as soon as she got off.

One other staff person would have made the pick-up faster.
