Cheap Car Rentals in Bar Harbor Airport

It was absolutely the best vehicle we have rented for the price in all the years that we’ve needed to rent a vehicle. A car ran well, it was very comfortable, and the folks at budget in Bangor, Maine, were absolutely stellar to work with. Wouldn’t hesitate to rent from a budget car rental.

More transparency in pricing. Numbers kept changing.

I was told at drop off to proceed to the counter, which was 15 people deep. Took 45 minutes of standing to get to a rep, who told me I didn’t have to go to the counter after all.

They failed to adequately inform me that on Sunday, they close at 12 noon. Our plane did not arrive until 6 PM and because we had reserved the car “off site” there was NO vehicle at the airport counter available for us. Yes, I should have known that 12 PM is 12 noon but it slipped right by me and we paid the price. It cost an extra $400 to rent a vehicle from another company.

The young women at this location were both exceptional in Customer Service, Friendliness and Service! They both seemed to enjoy their jobs. The shuttle drivers were also prompt, helpful and friendly. My experience could not have been better. I would highly recommend renting from this location!
