Sixt was fantastic. The shuttle bus driver came to pick us up at Hobart Airport, despite being unable to find our booking. He spent an hour with us until the problem with Kayak had been sorted and they had assigned a vehicle for us and sent an email confirming this. He then took us to Cambridge Sixt rentals and explained to the receptionist the situation. We received a better car and completed all necessary paperwork in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. We could not have asked for better service when renting and returning the car.

We arrived at the airport. Phoned the pick-up bus phone number to only hear a recorded msg. The sixt website stated the closing time of the office was 545pm. We ended up getting a taxi to the office arriving 430pm. The place was closed. We had to get a taxi to our hotel on the other side of town. I phoned another few times to no answer. I phoned the office the next morning and found sixt didn't have a booking for us! Fortunately East Coast car rentals made a car available for us stating that they are breaking ties with sixt car rentals in the new year as this happens frequently
