I reserved a full size sedan. Apparently they were all out and I was "upgraded" to a compact SUV. That was not an upgrade. Please don't call that an upgrade. I did like how easy it was to drop off.

They charged us nearly twice the price at pick up because there was some issue with the booking. It cost us so much money and I was very disappointed.

Had to wait while cars were borrowed from other rental companies. I understand the shortage on rental cars but don’t make reservations for cars you don’t have available. I think next time I’ll just have family pick us up at the airport and forget about renting a car

The problem I experienced was that the agent at pickup pushed the insurance on me, telling me “this is Florida, a no-fault state.” I believe most are. But having seen all the ads for the ambulance chasers, I buckled and let her add the $30. When I got home I asked my husband about it and he said it was torkelt unnecessary.

In between the line to confirm the reservation and get the car assigned and the “valet” to pick up the car, it was more than an hour added on to travel. The “valet” station was chaotic.

The drop off process was okay because I didn't have to wait for everyone ahead of me. However, the handheld scanner didn't work so I never got the vehicle check in receipt. The process to get a vehicle should be reviewed at this location, it took over an hour to get to the counter to receive the vehicle I reserved. The wait in line took longer than the flight from Washington D.C. to Jacksonville FL, that is a huge red flag in my book. It should not take over 20 minutes per customer to check out our rent a vehicle. Customers that already have approved reservations should have been handled by an agent to get them out of the way to decrease the time spent waiting.

We specifically looked for a rental company that said "airport" for pick up and not "off site". We were disappointed when we were told to wait in the garage for our vehicle - because the car was offsite. What's the difference!! "Airport" should mean that you get your paperwork and get to the car at the airport; not get your paperwork and wait 20 minutes while an employee gets the car which is miles from the airport! Also, the check in process to get the car SHOULD NOT TAKE AN HOUR AND A HALF!! (Which it did for us and many other unfortunate travelers.)

Loved this experience. My flight was delayed and I didn’t land until 3:30 AM. The friendly receptionist made sure that I was a taken care of and was extremely pleasant. Car was great, drop off wa easy, and price was fair.

No one felt the need to share with me that I couldn't rent with my Visa debit. I get to the airport to pick up my rental just to be told you have to use a major credit card. I was told I am sorry and there is nothing I could do the day of my trip. I reserved the vehicle in February and was disappointed and embarrassed in July. Never again.

Pickup was fairly easy. My rental had a bottle of water in it. At first, I thought it was for me for my drive. Upon closer inspection, the tabs were broken and it appeared as though someone had taken a small drink. Needless to say, I threw it away. There was also no customer service agent in the car area for questions. Return was very easy. I was instructed to just leave the key inside the car and go. My receipt was emailed.

We overpaid, would not apply our AARP or AAA. Told us to do when we returned car; we tried and they told us should have done in the beginning. We ordered Mazda 4 door and got a small SUV with terrible suspension and poor AC (in hot and humid Florida). Disappointing

The car itself was good

The pickup and drop off were horrible and they tried to charge me for an underage fee when I arrived to pick up despite the fact that I am 25, was quoted a different number, and they had entered my birth year incorrectly into the system.

A- It was impossible to talk to someone the day of pick up and drop off, took me ours for the lady to answer the phone. B- The car was dirty. C- I told her the I have full cover insurance. So she told me. If you broke down call your insurance. If you have car accidents call your insurance. Anything happens to the car call your insurance. This is my first time something like this happened to me. Very strange.

Customer service was terrible. Typically use Avis, but after the woman told me maybe I should “just call Uber”, and offered no helpful insight other than sending me on a goose chase to every competitor. Finally the NEW EMPLOYEE explained the situation and fixed everything. He was great, but the woman with no personality and terrible customer service/sarcasm should have stayed home. Last year, cars were being thrown at me to travel and run covid units. This year I was spoken down to and ridiculed…. Despite having a one way flight coming home from the hurricane I drove away from last month. People are just rude and she was the worst part of my experience from start to finish, Hurricane and cancelled flights included.

No other rental car counter had a line as long as Avis. We waited for almost an hour to get to the front to get our car. Then they add on all these hidden costs, inflating the final price way beyond what the reservation price was set at. Very frustrating.
