Same game, different attempts to upsell or sneak in fees that are uneccesary. Agent was less than honest about what was actually required, I knew the rules and declined. They still added some additional options that I did not ask for and tried to get me out the door before I noticed. I've had better car rental experiences in third world countries that have reputations for ripping people off.

The whole thing about having the credit card used to make the reservation in hand at pickup was a real hassle. The credit card we used had been compromised long before we made the pickup, so we had to have a whole new contract, it took about 45 mins, which is ridiculous!!

The first car we were offered was what looked to be an older Kia not a Ford Edge.that we selected. I asked if they had something a little nicer and a little newer and they gave us a brand new Jeep Grand Cherokee. The car was great. I'm glad I asked.

Car was dirty on pick-up and had body damage, and paint scratches on it. There was nobody to check us out and do a walk around. The car was what we had requested: a mustang convertible. Having the ability to pull the top down while cruising around Maui was amazing, but there is a serious lack of trunk and cabin space which made packing for the beach and airport a little challenging. We kept saying all trip long, “Next time, let’s get a Jeep.”

The Car was in good condition, nice and clean. Customer service was terrible and slow. We had to wait over an hour just get a vehicle. I will never use Payless or Budget again.

The pick up was HORRIBLE. We went to “the other side of the railing” to pick up our car. I thought that it would be ready for us. NO! about 18-20 people were also waiting. After about 40 minutes our car arrived. No instructions, nothing. It just was placed in one of the spots in front of us with the keys in it. Very “contactless” for sure. We wanted a compact car. We got a Chevy Camaro convertible! 😞 Poor visibility, difficult to get in & out of. Gas guzzler too, which was our loss. Perhaps most folks would be happy with this car over a compact, which we ordered. They didn’t even ask if it would be ok, or have another option for us. Budget can & should do better.

The representative was attentive to my needs.

The SUV had roaches in it which was crawling on my baby. My wife was killing them left and right. We would of turned around but we were crunched for time. It took forever to get a car, and i was the only one there. Terrible experience

Due to Covid-19 my flights were cancelled but despite calling several times never heard back from Advantage. And intend to receive a refund (which is I’m sure why I haven’t heard from them).

Maybe two sets of keys just in case you lock a set in the car. Never happened but a thought. Would have preferred having a fob to lock and unlock

VERY SLOW pickup process. Each customer is at the counter 10-15 minutes, spending most of the time finding off agressive up-selling attempts - car upgrades, gas options, and mostly insurance add-ons. They hide the option of declining supplemental insurance altogether. Forcing you to choose between three levels. They pepper you with scare tactics. This all takes a lot of time. The car itself, not the model promised. Reserved a Toyota RAV5, got a large SUV. Poorer gas mileage and difficulty parking in resort's small parking spots. Car condition was pretty poor - lots of dings and scratches. Which need to be carefully documented, requiring more time. Car ran fine. Go with the major rental companies. You'll likely be about to pickup your reserved vehicle with little or no time spent at the counter.

Did not have SUV and gave us a mini van that we did not like. When we drove to our condo the tire pressure light came on. We then noted a tire with a slow leak that had been pumped up for rental. We called to return the car and the person in duty found and reserved an SUV for us, which was good but we had to pay for the gas to return to airport to return van! As a courtesy, the person also gave us a 90 minute extension to return the vehicle but only noted it in the file, we were charged a $35 overage and had to stand in line at counter to ask someone to read notes and adjust, which was done, but was another hassle. We were also told it would be best to buy a tank of gas at 3.29 per gallon, but we are not told it came with $30+ of airport taxes which was ridiculous. We had to call and get that changed too. We filled up the tank which was almost empty on the SUV for $40 at Costco vs the $85 you tried to charge us. TAXES on tsnk of gas should be disclosed. In addition we were renting car from 4pm to 5pm return assuming there was a one hour grace period that is standard. When flight arrived early so we picked up car at 3:30pm, agent charged us for two additional hours without disclosing it. Lots of sneaky things we didn’t notice on contract until we read the print out on way home. People at Kahului we’re all very nice and fixed all we needed. It’s not them that appear to be wrong, it’s the company. We will rent from you again but will not take a van, will not take gas, and will look for system sneaking extra hours on the contract.

Car was clean.

I reserved a "Ford Mustang Convertible or similar model not guaranteed." They had plenty of Mustangs but charged me $350 to "upgrade" to what I literally reserved, a Mustang. Check out was slow as they tried to sell options and there was no one there when I returned the car and although someone appeared, they walked off in another direction.

Glad I got there when I did - on a Friday at 8:30am, I had 1 family in front of me and had to wait around 10 minutes (the family had like 4 cars though). When we turned our car in at 2:00pm on Sunday, it was a painless process - but I am super glad I wasn't checking out a car - there had to have been 50+ people in line. All of the rental agencies were like that though. Super glad I didn't have to deal with that!

The person at the counter was a bit too chatty, took him a white to be done with a customer before us, discussing things unrelated to the car rental. People arriving late, having spent 6 hours on the plane, want to get to their lodging as soon as possible. Other than that a fairly easy and smooth process, appreciated an upgrade.

We had easy pickup and drop-off. We upgraded to a convertible since there was a discount and I wanted to use one for our trip, but as soon as we agreed to the vehicle I feel like the representative stopped listening and didn’t answer a number of questions my husband and I had. She was like, “It’s fine, just get in, just get in!” Everything worked out in the end but it made the initial experience more stressful than necessary. If upgrades and deals are offered for very different names/models/sizes at the counter, some time should be allotted for customers to feel comfortable with their decision.

Not a thing! There's a MANDATORY 14 DAY QUARANTINE ! THEY REFUSED ANY REFUND OR CREDIT! THEY HAVE FILE BANKRUPTCY !

GIVE ME BACK MY $ 500.00 !!!! Company new they where going into Bankruptcy and still took people hard earned money ! Honestly I will never use a third party to book any car rental again. AS FARE AS I AM CONCERNED PRICELINE AND EZ-CAR STOLE MY MONEY!
