The car was good and as expected from the description. Someone left a coffee cup in the car, but otherwise it was clean. Great value for the money renting in the winter months.

There were several smaller dents and scratches on the vehicle when I picked it up that were not noted. I had to spend an additional 30 mins taking it over to the return lot to have them make a note of them before I could go pick up my family waiting in the cold.

The person at the service desk at Copenhagen Airport Sixt rental, Sebastian, was very friendly and helpful. The fact that we weren't offered the choice of automatic and manual on Kayak's website, kind of created a bit of confusion when picking up the car. But he was able to take care of everything, but at a higher rate. So anybody renting on a 3rd party website should be careful. However, the worst experience was when returning the car, they charged me for a damage that was there already. I had taken a photo/video when picking up the car like Sebastian suggested, but after 2-3 weeks of waiting for a response to the complain I had lodged with customer service, I received no response. Renter beware, be sure to document the damage and probably bring it up at the service desk. No one accompanied us to get the car, so we weren't able to show that there was prior damage to the car already.

Had no problems with vehicle. When I went to the airport to drop off the car, there was no one there. I found a box to drop the keys off, but I don't recall receiving any instructions regarding this.

The car was ok for size and comfort. BUT...Still in dispute over alleged additional damage to the vehicle on its return. We were not involved in any accidents, but europcar staff say there are additional scratches on the vehicle for which we are responsible. In the photos they sent as evidence, there are small, very minor surface marks which would polish out easily with a cloth. Is this how they make their extra money or am I just being cynical?

I was informed that because I reserved "via a broker" my extra insurance would not be recognized by Europcar. Luckily I had no incidents.

That another employee stepped in after a long wait

That the number system would have worked. It was my turn but a customer who had taken a number after me stepped in front because he said he was a long time customer. After a long overseas trip and a long wait in line this is not what I expected from Avis.

The drop off of car rentals is less than third world. Out in elements. Rain or shine.and lots of rain in Denmark. They just changed a few months ago from not so good system to incredibly stupid and consumer unfriendly. Having lived in Denmark and being married t a Dane, I am stunned by the stupidity of the current drop off, both for those returning cars and those poor souls who work there all day. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.

The car

I had a flat tire, and there was no spare tire. It took them 5 hours to exchange the car on a rainy day with 4 adults and 5 kids. I had to go to the airport to pick up another car and go back to pick up my family with all the luggage from the street. All in all it set us back a lot because we lost time out of that day and it made us cancel our following day plans.

The car itself + service on pickup and drop-off was great!

Pricing didn't include any insurances (which is odd in EU) and I had to call to Budget to get the prices. nevertheless. price was OK and all worked as expected.

Had to wait 20 mins for the transfer bus to the rental center.. and upon returning the car, it's all outside uncovered. So in case of rain nowhere to find shelter..
