The staff was friendly and the car was clean.
The staff failed to mention that when I ran my debit/credit card at check in that they were required to run it as a debit even though it literally has a MasterCard logo on it??? I had over 6k in the bank ready for the trip and at the last minute my car reservation is declined? Thanks for that :/ Due to this failure, I had to have my son (who has an "actual credit card" according to the staff) drive from Detroit to Lansing to re-rent a vehicle for the trip. When he arrived, and we went back, they had given my car to someone else and stated that all they had left were something like a Geo Metro. A Geo Metro??? Seriously??? Sigh... So, we made a new reservation and asked if they had anything in the same size of larger. They said we have a Mazda3 but it's $7.00 more a day. So, I paid the extra $70 and renter that car instead. So, the $400 plus price i'd already paid for the reservation that was lost, but the price was mysteriously still available. Sigh... I got the car and then seen I only had a little over half a tank of gas? So, went and filled up the car. Additionally, it looked like moisture had gotten behind the instrument window and was so fogged I could barely see the mph gage. Overall, it was a frustrating experience in comparison to the previous 4 visits when I had rented from the exact location, it went smooth as glass! I rarely write this type of review but hopefully, someone else doesn't make the same assumptions I did and have to go through this experience.
