Very good|Feb 2022

They said to drop off at 1pm, on a weekday 21 Feb; but when I got there no one was there. The sign said open 8am to 5pm but they closed at noon. Finally a woman there opened the door and took our car keys. My daughter and I were surprised.

Hertz in Merced was fine. My flight got delayed into Merceds airport, so I was a bit late for pickup. They said that they were going to charge me for a full sized instead of what I reserved, because that is what they had available. I understand their policy, but just not what I had expected. Just a mediocre experience. Not bad, not good.

Nothing. Didn't get to actually rent the vehicle

I was stuck in traffic from 2 hours and tried to have my reservation transferred over to another location. They kept sending me to different locations in San Jose, CA and none of them had any available. I called the Alameda location and they asked me if it was through or insurance or personal, and if it was prepaid. I told them it was rented by me and prepaid and they said that they didn't have cars available (without checking) and I asked why and then they put me on hold and hung up on me. I tried calling back a least 5 times from two different numbers and they refused to pick up. Worst car rental customer service ever.

Staff is super nice. Car - I requested a FULL size car. I paid for a FULL size car. I got a Nissan Altima. That’s not a full Size vehicle. Even Nissan says that in their website. Lol. It would have been over $100 cheaper had I booked a mid-size car which is what they gave me.
