Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
The fact that Kayak never advertised the closing date appropriately is something I dislike. I therefore, got to the car rental location 10 minutes after 6 PM. The car rental location did not call me prior letting me know they were closing. Therefore, I had to drive to another car rental location. On the drive there I attempted to call Hertz to see if I could possible pick up a car from this different location without an extra charge. Upon checking, the representative then told me that all cars were booked. After getting to the location, which is the Miami Intermodal Center, which hosts maybe 15 - 20 car rental companies, I spent about an hour and a half trying to get a car -- for which I was charged $310, about $250 dollars more than the rental I had done through Kayak. However, given Kayak did not advertise the closing time, and that original car rental location did not call me, more than a good portion of the afternoon after work was spent dealing with something that should have gone relatively smoothly. Granted, I was at fault being late 10 minutes, but I think that sometimes life gets in the way and sometimes are late to things. Sincerely, Rene Santiago
