fill up the tank before returning !!! I got charged 130 euro for the empty tank (I rented a compact hybrid with a 9 gallon tank - approx 30 euro to fill it up)

All worked well, upgraded to new car,

Sicily by car did a "bait and switch". We had booked a luxury car, and they told us we did not have the right credit card. They offered a lower level car for more money to be paid -- pretty much held us hostage (we were being blackmailed). We did not end up renting the car from Sicily by Car. We are going to fight with "Kayak", "Rentalcars.com" & "Sicily by Car" to get a refund for services not received, services not as promised and being blackmailed, held hostage at the beginning of a vacation - leaving us with a bad taste in our mouth. I would strongly recommend Kayak and Rentalcars.com look at how many complaints they have received of such nature and kick them off potential choices to rent from (if they want their reputation to be intact). I would love a call back / communication from a person at Kayak and/or rentalcars.com and walk through the horrible experience.

Quick turn around. The only thing was our car wasn’t in position of where we were supposed to pick it up.

Drop off and pick up were incredibly easy and we picked up at one airport in Milan with drop off an another. We had no issues with the vehicle and it was exactly what we had reserved.

I booked the car in italy. I took videos of the car prior to driving it out of the lot to protect myself. Surely enough, they are charging me 160 euros for “new cosmetic damages “. Not true! The damages are clearly seen on my video and pictures. They are a scam. I’m fighting the case hoping they don’t unfairly take my money. Dont book with them or the main company, Hertz.

only thing to argue is that after 1500 km ride i got the message of low oil level and i had to buy and add 1l of oil ; dont think that is normal and shouldnt really happen

The price was defrint

The line was so long and understaffed I walked over to another car rental and had keys in five minutes. Got a nicer car for cheaper too. My family laughed as we got to our destination 45 minutes later that we would still be waiting in the rental line. No joke! We waited 30 minutes. Probably would have been another hour at least before we would speak to someone.
