Had to wait 40 mins for a vehicle but the counter staff was very professional & we got a class upgrade and a discount. Drop off was less than 2 minutes. Rental car prices still very expensive post-Covid!

Vehicle was upgraded as The original was not available. The cost for 5 days was a gouge in my opinion. Had my flight arrived on Friday or earlier on Saturday I would have gone off site and saved almost Half my money.

Oh my gosh I loved the car we rented! The only thing I would change is there were 2 slots with the same number and we didn’t know. So we got to the first one. We had a team member come over and inspect a few spots on the car so we wouldn’t be charged for them. After getting my 93 year old grandmother and all our luggage loaded, we couldn’t figure out why the car refused to start. We checked with another team member to be told we were in the wrong one and ours was across the road in the second spot. The team member said not to worry and he went and switched everything to the van we were in and got us the right keys for that vehicle. He saved the day! The car was perfect and we will definitely use you again for our trip next year!

Long walk to the cars in Myrtle beach due to construction. Dragging golf clubs and heavy bag wasn’t fun.

The car I pick up wasn’t clean, inside & out. There was a smell in the car for a week and finally found previous renter had left take out was in a container underneath passenger front seat. NOT HAPPY ☹️ Last yr found previous car renter left his face mask and paperwork in car. So, I had to sanitize the car myself.

Love Alamo! Picking up the car was amazing. I usually expect to be at the counter for 1/2 hour. Alamo took 5 minutes tops. Dropping off was quick and easy.

The registration people were nice, but they had a new computer system and it took about 45 minutes to get our documents.

They didn't have the vehicle I had requested and upgraded me to a truck, which was enormous to park and had no place to lock our luggage. The truck smelled like someone had smoked in it.

I was charged an extra $59 because I used a debit card. I was told that because I had a debit card and not cc they had to physically speak to my insurance agent...at 6pm on a Saturday. They would not accept my insurance information or declaration page either. Very disappointed, will never use again.

This was the most ideal rental experience I’ve ever had. Not a single thing could have gone better. Super easy pick-up and drop-off, the vehicle was clean minus the seasonal pollen. Came with an attractive young blonde… or did I bring her. We’ll done Budget.

Rental itself was great, clean, ran great. Great rental.

On pick-up, they said I had booked the wrong location even though my reservation was for the correct location, which I showed them. The person ahead of me in line had the same problem. Also, when I dropped off the rental they tried to charge a weekly rate even though I had spoken with the agent at pick up about converting it back over to a daily rate after the rental was up (which was reflected in my contract). Although a manager corrected the problem after I showed her proof, the initial agent was incompetent and did not know what he was doing. The manager had to show him twice. Also, the parking attendant was rude at drop off until he realized that I was correct. Would probably not use national through kayak again- too much of a hassle when you are traveling!

i reserved a car ahead of time price and conformation code was received. price $313 and some change. i get there and they try to charge me $992 and some change for my car. was suppose to get a midsize car got stuck with a compact car and was there for almost 2 hrs waiting after i talked to the person at the desk.

I like that I got a free upgrade and a reduced rate from the woman working the desk at Myrtle Beach International Airport. I presented her with my paperwork and the airport was the WRONG airport in Myrtle Beach (the private airport - Not MYR which is the airport code for the International Airport). The whole booking had to be cancelled, the insurance had to be cancelled and everything had to be rebooked.

That the airport code for Myrtle Beach (MYR) is the incorrect booking code to get a car rental! Who came up with that idea?!

Never rent from AVIS at Myrtle Beach Airport. It took nearly 90 minutes to wait to get to an attendant while all other car rentals were less than 5 minutes. Will never rent from them again.
