Location, price, cleanliness should all be improved upon.
The staff at the Downtown Nashville Enterprise on 8th Street during the Christmas ‘22 Elliott Blizzard aftermath and the Southwest Airlines debacle, got me into a rental car so I could drive over 750 miles home. It was a challenge as they had few cars that morning but they worked hard at it and made it happen. They were pleasant and diligent and caring. I’ve never seen anything like it.
They made me park my vehicle on the street instead of their parking lot that was monitored. I felt like I wasn't sure I was going to see my vehicle again. There were plenty of spots open for them to let their clients park in the lot. Not the best experience

Picking up the car Staff sent me back to counter desk to get paperwork. Took 20 min to get car. Checkout in fast fane was slow because link for sign up was not sent to phone, e-mail or text. Got link 30 min after check out.
The staff maybe had a lot going on when i picked up the car, but it wasn’t the cleanest and definitely needed an oil change, as the warning came on before our drive back (over 500 miles).
I loved the car I just wish it was a little cheaper. And I wasn’t told about the $300 they hold back while you take the car. Luckily, I got someone to loan me the money till I got paid to pay them back.
Book directly with the rental company rather than through Kayak. Budget was out of cars when I arrived.
Although we ended not renting from then, due to an error on our part, they were very helpful and got us on our way in a timely manner.
We loved our dodge Dakota. It was comfortable. We drove it from Tennessee to North Carolina. This car made the beautiful drive even better.
They did not have a car for us on the day we reserved - I had paid the deposit too. We had to go to a different location the next day - which actually was more convenient- the 1st car we got had expired plates - which we didn’t know until we got pulled over by police!! had to drive about 30 miles out of our way to exchange cars. There was no sense of urgency to help us with a new car.
it took 50 minutes to get a car. The car reserved was unavailable and we downsized to a compact. The car was dirty and abused. Terrible service
The guy that served me was very helpful and polite. Only negative was the car did not have a full tank.
They did not have a car available - at least 5 other people were in the same situation and the staff at that location simply said there was nothing they could do other than refer me to the costumer service line that did not pick-up the phone.
I rented a Hertz car at the Nashville airport. The Hertz desk said we won’t give you a car. You have to go 10 minutes away to a hertz facility on the other side of the airport to get your car. This could have been made clear when I rented but it was not. Very unhappy customer here. I have a customer
They pick up and delivery service was easy and friendly. The car was good. I had some trouble with billing that is not been resolved, and apparently will not be resolved, because hurt says too bad. I do not appreciate this type of customer service and will probably not use hertz again.
We were booked for a car rental facility that was closed at our time of pick up. We had to get a car from another location for over double the price.
They didn’t have any vehicles even though they were listed as available. They told me they would have one in about 30 minutes. 3 hours later I got a text notifying me I did not have the rental car I reserved.
Friendly staff in Nashville they upgraded our car because that’s all that was available. We came to pick up later than scheduled by Uber and it was a good thing because there would have been no cars available at that time. We waited approx 30 plus minutes for ours but once we had it all was well.
No cars so they canceled my rental…. Disaster
I know all businesses are short staffed. They had one person helping customers. He did his best and even with the long lines he kept a smile and was very polite. Our problem was the car itself. It was all dented up and you it smelled like an ash tray and we are NOT smokers. If we had not been on a tight schedule I would have gone back in and stood in line and would have asked for a different vehicle.
Avis did not have the van we reserved. They told us they did not ever have the type of can we reserved. We had to push get alternative vehicles.
Received a call on the morning of my reservation (made months earlier) to say that they had no cars at this, or nearby, locations. They had no interest in helping me solve this problem and insisted that this was normal(!!). They passed me around on calls at my insistence that they help me solve this problem. Their system was also down so they wouldn't even tell me my case number to follow up with. Absolutely noone acted concerned about their company's behavior. Avoid Avis at all costs.
