Joseph was great at checkout. Deja was superior at check in. Even more so when she called me later to remind me of all the things I forgot, namely my entire golf bag! Baronne NO is FIRE! Please stay away from other rental trappings! These folks take care of you!
MSY airport rental pickup and drop off is terrible Still use old rental area fro old airport give yourself at least 30 min in transport time
I had a reservation for 361$ … when I got there they told me almost 800$ argued my way to 450$.

I believed this location was at MSY, but it was not. I had to take a 25 minute Uber ride to the actual location. I will need to be more careful on selecting next time. I was sure that I selected MSY. :(
The car was awesome, and the pick-up and drop-off experiences were seamless.
When I arrived at the budget location to pick up my car, I was told that they were on a waitlist, even though I had made a reservation well in advance, and that it would be at least two hours if I was even able to get my car. It ended up being two hours after my scheduled pickup when I was called and offered a truck, which I did not reserve, but had to take because I was now very late for beginning my trip. Terrible service and an unconscionable way to operate a business.
I had a reservation for 9am and was told it would be 30-1 hour wait due to no cars but I waited almost 2 hours. I was supposed to take my sisters to the airport on my way to Jackson, MS but instead we had to foot a $50 bill so they could get there in time. The staff at the Budget had their hands tied but were NOT helpful and wouldn’t offer any discounts or acknowledgment of how much inconvenience this caused at many layers!!! DO BETTER BUDGET!
When I arrived at the pickup counter at the off-airport site, and declined the Budget insurance, the staff told me I had to show my proof of insurance (i.e., my insurance card or a copy of my personal car insurance policy). I don't travel with those documents. I have rented a car hundreds of times in my life, I ALWAYS decline rental agency insurance because my policy covers rental cars, and I have NEVER been asked to show proof of insurance. I was not advised beforehand of this requirement. The agent at the rental counter was EXTREMELY unhelpful in having me problem solve this issue.
Made a reservation for 5pm pickup. Both door and online say open until 6pm. Got there at 5:03 and they said they close at 5. No car.
I have never had such a quick and easy pick up/drop off. The staff was courteous, the car was ready and waiting. It was fast and easy. Dropping off was the same. Super easy and they processed the deposit credit very fast. Very happy with this experience!
Staff were unfriendly and unhelpful at both locations for my one-way rental. At the pickup, they had overbooked, and I had to wait over an hour for a car to come in (some people with reservations were turned away). I was also told I had to buy their insurance to take the car, and had to work very hard to get that charge removed.
On the whole, our experience was positive. I was disappointed however that we were told the vehicle we'd be renting had 7/8 of a full tank and that we should be returning the vehicle with the same amount of fuel. Filling a tank to 7/8 can of course be problematic and not as straight forward as filling a full tank. When we took off with the vehicle we noticed that it wasn't 7/8 full but rather 1/8 full and the gas light came on about 30 min after having left the rental location. We captured this information and tried to contact the rental location to explain the situation, but nobody was available to take our call. Needless to say we returned the vehicle with 7/8 of a full tank and asked the second location if we could be reimbursed the cost of the difference between 1/8 and 7/8 of a full tank. We were told that unfortunately there was nothing they could do but to contact customer service. When I contacted customer service and explained the situation I was reimbursed $50.00 for our troubles. So all-in-all a good experience, but could have been better. Would know better for next time and would still rent with AVIS.

Had a reservation but no cars available. Waited about an hour and had to settle for a gas guzzling pickup which added about $20 to the fill up cost.
We got the vehicule almost an hour late, wich made us miss our event we paid for!
Car was not ready at pickup , we had no option but to take a car that was in my opinion not comparable to a ford edge. But as avis was closing in the next hour we were forced to take a car less than expected. The car had several issues. One of the tires half-flattened daily and all tires were worn out, hardly any profile. Also issues with the door locks. First time in my life a very bad experience with Avis. Tried to change the car but for these kind of issues Avis cannot be reached.
Our reservation was for 10a and we were not in a car until 11a because there was no car ready for us. The desk person really didn't know how to creatively problem solve and had to wait for a manager who then had to call another location to bring a car - that could have been done at the time the desk person knew there wasn't a car for us to pick up. We were an hour late into getting started and then as a result got caught in a storm that had we left on time we would have avoided. Overall very poor - what is the point of a reservation and appointment if you have no car to rent? If we needed to go to another location you just simply should have told us that and saved us an hour of our life.
