Offer on kayak was around 300$, at the desk i signed a contract because of some extra issue for 499$, when I drop of car my credit card was charged with 1300$ . I try to explain situation.

Uh, the entire location was CLOSED at my confirmed pickup time. I stood there with my luggage and my family with no car.

Car was ready on time and was pretty clean. Price was good.

The pick-up location said not to worry about preexisting scuffs or scratches on the car because they were so small, but the drop-off location tried to pin those marks on me. Fortunately, I took a video of the car when I picked it up, proving the marks were already there. The drop-off location dropped the issue right away after seeing the video.

Pick up was really easy, manager was quick and professional, was able to help me out even after working hours (website didn't say they are closing after 5 now). The car was new, clean and comfortable. The drop off was a bit worse. Entrance was hard to find, but partially because of the construction going on. And then, at the drop off, they were not able to locate my trip. However, they didn't hold me for too long, said they will figure it out on themselves and send me email/

Drop off instructions and process. Lower prices. Some kind of different tiers depending on the number of trips you do.

That particular location was closed even though I could make reservation. Nobody called me to explain that they moved to another location. i had to look for another rental, another car. Lots of stress, waste of time. terrible experience.

A full tank of gas would have been great and a tire check as well. Tires had 20 psi in both front tires. Had to stop and pay to get them filled and also too off the tank.

Hertz pick up and drop off was effortless and person was very very nice both with pick up and drop off. My issue was more for the phone/online customer service. Never use kayak/carrental.com

Kayak sent me to car rental.com. I made a mistake and 1st called Hertz but she was too busy. Then car rental. Com and was told it would be $700 for one day. I will NEVER use this site again. Horrible pricing and customer service. I went directly to Avis website and rented a car for the next day for $54 Avis now has my business!

The car was nicer than I expected and the woman who helped us at the counter was very friendly and helpful!

Something was wrong with the Easy Pass that we got - it kept sliding out of the windshield box so we had to hold it up when going through tolls, but wasn't really a big deal.

When I had to make changes to my reservation, they up-charged me and I could do nothing about it. What started at $330 for one week turned into $1300 for 12 days!

Everything regarding my experience was top notch! Service was excellent! My only complaint is the rental price. At the end of the day I ended up paying a little over 300 dlls. for a semi-compact car for a 24 hr. rental! I consider it WAY TOO MUCH! In the past I've rented cars for the same time for less than 100 dlls.

The man working the desk at AVIS was doing his best and it was not his fault but the computer system was down and they had no one to back him up. We waited 1.5 hours in line to get the car delaying our trip significantly. Nothing from AVIS to make up for it in the inconvenience, a discount even an apology... very disappointing experience.
