Cheap Car Rentals in SoHo, New York

Drop-off location was not running the advertised scheduled shuttle, still have not received final receipt.

We received the truck we wanted. Everything was great.

It was not Alamo but Budget as the booking got changed by tripadvisor. a. The car ( nissan murano) at JFK airport was not clean b. After some time the front collision warning light came up kept coming up intermittently c. It applied automatic breaks in the middle of the highway quite a few times ( Lucky to be remain unhurt) d. Had to stop my trip half way and take shelter at a friend's place late in the evening e. Towing truck came way too late f. Replacement vehicle was also dirty g. Replacement vehicle had serious mechanical issue ( shaking vigorously on the highway) h. In spite of all these, was charged for the extra day ! The overall experience with this Budget rental was worse than pathetic!!

The car had a problem with the battery

We were not able to rent a car for 3 hours. Made 3 different reservation as they complained about payment methods, then charged double of the cost of the reservation for unknown reasons. I will definitely seek NY legal claim against Hertz. They made my family’s trip a night mare. We finally got a car through another well known rental company who took 5 mins, no issues. Extremely dissatisfied to say the least.

The Lafayette St. location is a great, efficient Hertz outpost. Easy in and out. Nice no-nonsense service.

Staff friendly and car was ready to go. Hate that it had only half a tank of gas.
