Though I reserved a car and had all ID and Credit cards needed, they would not rent to me. Apparently recently moving affects my ability to rent a car. Agent told me I could Uber to an off site rental location, but not other resolutions were offered.

Agent for car pick up was quick, friendly, efficient. Same for drop off agent. Car had issues - low tire pressure light would not go off despite trying to fill the tire. Lights would not work on "Auto" so had to put them on manual. Got "Change Oil Soon" light during rental. One suggestion is to include a link to the vehicle's owners manual in the rental agreement, or e-mail the link to the customer. I had to search and search online for info that would have been in the owners manual.

They gave us a car with a tire that had a slow leak. Now they are trying to charge for a roadside service that was canceled. They’re telephone customer service is awful.

At no point was I informed of an additional $244 required for an authorization hold. I paid for the vehicle upfront, through Kayak. My receipt from Kayak only stated an additional $44 was needed at pickup for taxes and fees. If you do not have the additional unknown funding for authorization, and use a bank card, they up it to $500 for the authorization hold. Without the additional unknown funds, you are unable to rent the vehicle. While dropping off the vehicle another customer was in tears over not having additional room on a credit card for the authorization.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. There is no toll package and you will be charged $15.00 for every toll you go through. There are many tolls around Rochester and there are no cash payment options. So, if you drive anywhere, you'll be looking at at least $30 dollars in administrative fees. I will NEVER rent through Dollar again, especially from this location. 0 stars, avoid at all costs.

The staff was ok at pick up & drop off.

1) Customer service availability should be a lot better than what it is. I needed instruction from customer service at 5:30am eastern time involving misgiven info from a reservations specialist regarding my drop off location open time so i dropped the car off at another location that just opened for the day since i couldn't wait for my location to open. Because i kept getting a recording saying customer service closed it costed me an extra $100.00 for drop the car off at another Thrifty location rather than leave it abandoned & be liable for it.

When we arrived there were NO cars available and we were told it would be a 4 hour wait!!! To this day I STILL have not received my refund!!!! I was supposed to pickup the car on Aug 15th, today is Aug 25th and STILL no credit on my credit card!!!!

I arrived at 9am to find out that I couldn't rent car til 3pm...then I was told I had to have a $200 deposit aside from the price of the car and I didn't have enough to cover it.... Thrifty/Hertz wouldn't let my sister pay for my rental over the phone.... so I sat there stranded with my luggage all day trying to figure out how I was going to come up with the money so I can get home....it was very upsetting so I never got the rental

The staff was helpful at pick up.

The car wasn't very clean. Sticky stuff on the gear shifter, seatbelts. The windows were dirty inside and out. Visibility was difficult.

The first car we had reeked of marijuana and we had to drive 30 miles round trip to swap it out for a car that had a slight smell of smoke with cigarette burns in the seat. I hope you are charging these people for smoking in the cars then you can clean them properly for the next customer.

Once we got through the wait at pick up everything went smoothly. But having to wait at pick up for nearly half an hour at the Avis desk since the budget desk was not open put a damper on the overall experience with Budget.

There were no cars. I had a reservation, arrived at the desk on time, and was told to wait. The entire lobby was filled with people ahead of me also waiting. After half an hour, no one had been given a car. A man I spoke to had been waiting two hours for his car. My schedule would not permit me to stay and wait for hours. I used a ride share service throughout my trip. Budget car rental at ORF was completely overbooked and under-resourced. But then, no other rental car company had availability either. The industry is in shambles currently.

Only improvement could have been with their pricing. I ended up getting there 30min earlier than expected. Instead of saying no problem, I was told I need to drop the car off 30min earlier on return. They have every right to expect compensation for their product/services and if 30min is no big deal then the guy says well he's just 30min earlier than that (and this logic never ends) and Hertz could be out a significant amount of money. But it also took me more than 30min to go through the rental process, get the car, and leave the airport. It just seemed like the company wanted every $0.10 they could get. Maybe a little flexibility would have been better. Still no complaint.

Hertz has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. The 800 number was not located in the US. There was never a supervisor available the 4 times I called. I used their email and it says they will reply within 2 weeks. It took them 3 weeks to reply by email.. I finally got ahold of them on twitter only to be ghosted. When I arrived to pick up the car, the exact issue I was trying to contact them about happened. Luckily the counter folks were nice, but it still resulted in us waiting 2 hours for our car to be ready…. Never again will I rent a Hertz brand car

Went above and beyond expectations. It was our first time to rent a vehicle for over the road travel due to an emergency. The staff at Hertz in Norfolk -Jacobay- and the staff member in Memphis who signed the car in welcomed us back home It was a nice touch after two rough days. Stay the course:

Was told by Hertz that the insurance I purchased on kayak wasn't valid and that I needed to purchase insurance directly from them. They didn't have any cars in stock and I had to wait an hour for a car to be returned. When I got into the car it was disgusting. There was some sort of oil/fluid on the center console and arm rest, the car hadn't been cleaned.

The van itself was fine and pretty clean. Drop off was easy. The scheduled pick up at 9am on a Sunday took more than an hour and a half to have the vehicle, which then threw off my departure time. There was not a long line or wait. Just not enough staff and no progress made as to getting my rental.

The receipt gave ORF as the site to pick up the car; but the address stated was on Military Circle. So where do I go. I went to the address. The place looked like it had been closed for awhile. So i get to the airport and have to ask each company if the deal with Payless. Budget does. They don’t have a convertible….haven’t had one all summer. BUT THE WEBSITE OFFERED ME A SILVER VW BEETLE CONVERTIBLE!!!!!!! Whatever happened to customer service AND INTEGRITY? “In fact we haven’t had any cars all summer!!!! But we couldn’t shut the website down.” WHAT???
