Do not provide any courtesy drop and pick up even for places within 2 miles. Their fuel policy is horrible. I filled up the tank right next to rental car location and showed the fuel receipt to the lady, but she would not believe me. She made me go again to gas station and I had force fill another 0.5 liter. Lost 15 mins and aggregation in process. Terrible.

If you are going to have a 24-hour window available in which to pick up the vehicle presented as an option, imagine my surprise when a delayed flight resulted in me showing up to a closed Budget desk at the rental car place. I realize that I said 1am pickup and showed up closer to 2am, but even 2am was an option to select when initially booking. When I called customer service, they said the desk closed at 1:30am, which at no point was ever mentioned or displayed in the booking process. Very disappointing having to come back the next day to pick it up, delaying my plans.

Rented a VW and Got A Toyota that was dirty inside, Wiper blade on passenger was broken. So Im was not impressed, Tried calling Rental company to get wiper fixed with no luck as they are only open certain Hours in Fredericton.

Long line despite being in Fastbreak. All other airports you can just grab the keys and go with FB. Not the staff’s fault they were great. Also there were computer problems. Budget management should look at this location

Harman Johal is great -- a very friendly, efficient and understanding "agent" (he's actually the branch manager). Mid-rental, we needed to make two major changes to our original contract; Harman accommodated us quickly and with no hassle at all. Highly recommend!

Liked the vehicle and liked the agent at the pick-up location. Did not like them not having a car ready for us at the scheduled time. Had to wait for them to receive a car back and then clean it up for us. Also did not like the drop off location. Extremely confusing to find.

My experience with my car rental was overall excellent. In particular, the staff person was very efficient, friendly, and he multi-tasked smoothly. These attributes were especially noticeable as it was very busy and the storm, Fiona, was just receding. Than you for the car and for the service.

We are very disappointed with our experience and will never use Avis again. After calling the day before our booking to change the pick up time and confirm (which the agent did confirm there was no issue with the new pick up time and the pick up time was changed), we took a taxi to downtown Avis from the airport as airport Avis was sold out. Upon arrival, Avis was closed and we were left without a rental car to get to our hotel 2 hours away. We took a taxi half way to the hotel before the airport Avis location called back saying they now had a mini van available, even though we had booked an SUV. This cost us about $400 more than anticipated ($100 taxi and can was $300 more for the week than SUV) and 4 hour of our time. It was a horrible experience on my birthday and to start our honeymoon and we will never use Avis ever again.

Staff was great, car was garbage. Dirty windows inside, but more importantly the car had bald tires which made a horrible vibration. It became noticeable once we were on the highway, and became worse during the week to the point that it was unsafe to drive.

I thought the staff was nice, but the hotel let someone block my way out so I had to sit for 10 minutes before I could leave because someone went shopping and had to load all the bags while a hotel staff member blocked the driveway and the shopper blocked the fire lane. Also, would not have rented here if I knew I was getting a charger. They said it was the only “small car” they had. A charger isn’t a small car, it takes up a full lane and the hood is so large it reflects sunlight into the drivers eyes and is blinding. Won’t rent here again unless they have actual small cars available.

There was an extremely long line of customers waiting to get their cars with only 2 employees working, one of whom was being monitored which slowed her down immensely. The process was made longer due to the questionable requirement of the agent to try to upgrade you to a more expensive car and then to buy extra car insurance. Maybe if you cannot staff adequately you could forgo the extra sales efforts? Or maybe the lady standing there watching could fire up a terminal and get some travelers on their way?

Very accommodating, had no issue at all except at check in, the clerk wanted me to sign the inspection slip of the car without actually going out to inspect the car before leaving.. maybe he was new and that’s ok bc I just advised that we should go look before signing anything..

The people working at the pick up in Halifax were great..friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I was in and out within twenty minutes. When we dropped off the car in Toronto the process took less then five minutes. The car was clean and great on gas. We would definitely rent from Alamo again and we highly recommend them as the place to rent vehicles.

1) I didn't like that the Alamo office was closed when we dropped off our vehicle. We asked businesses close by and figured out what to do. It should have been mentioned on our rental agreement. 2) We were contacted by Alamo the next day that there was damage to the vehicle. It was marked on our form when we picked up the vehicle but it was not communicated on the receiving end. My husband informed them of this and it was cleared. We arrived home to find a letter from Alamo requesting us to get in touch with them re: damaged vehicle. My husband called again to inform them of the history. Message was left a few days late stating the letter could be disregarded.

The compact size of the Tiguan on the outside was great. The roominess on the inside was good. The service counter personnel were fast, friendly and helpful although a little too eager to try to upsize our rental to a yukon-like behemoth of a vehicle

The gas mileage was so-so.

Gave me a reservation to pick up after the downtown Halifax, Nova Scotia location was closed. Had to hire a cab to take me back to airport, to obtain car, Besides the extra $120.00 canadian for the two cab fares, the whole first day of our vacation lost. Would appreciate your consideration, of reimbursing me the $120.00, as reservation from Kayak the flawed cause.

We had a reservation for a compact car, and were offered an upgrade to a larger car at no charge. Had a Hyundai Sonata, very nice car with good fuel economy.

We arrived at Halifax airport late (9:30 PM), and called the number. No answer. Waited about 10 minutes, called again, go someone to pick us up. Staff should have headsets to be able to answer phone wherever they are, to avoid panic attacks by customers.

Rental company would not accept vehicle excess insurance which had been purchased, so we had to take full insurance with the rental company which was more expensive and then claim a refund on the external policy

Dollar Westin Hotel Halifax 1. Was very long in attending to me while the attendant was on a long break. 2. failed to clean the car upon handover; 3. Gave us 2 keys together with unbreakable wire. 4. Upon return would not inspect the car at all with me when asked, and said he was busy with customers ( none there for 25 minutes) while talking to his girlfriend. 5. Did not leave manual in car. 6. Neither Attendant asked the customer if everything wss OK.

The pick up experience was dreadful. We went the day before we were to pick up our car rental to ensure that everything was in place. We were assured that the mid size car we rented and paid for would be there. When we returned the next day to pick up the car we were told that they only had a compact car available and that we should pay the extra for an SUV that was available. We said no that we wanted the mid size car we rented and paid for. The two attendants wasted 30 minutes trying to convince us to take the SUV. We refused and they finally said they would have to bring the car that we ordered from another location and that would take another 30 minutes. We did not appreciate the attendants wasting our time. The drop off was much less onerous. Dropped the keys left a phone number and email address.
