Car not clean, old, tires worn, front fender held on by screws had to push back in place after hitting bumps. Was extended here due to storm in the North East US. They wanted to charge an additional $125/day. Close to the cost of one week rental. I asked if I could return and re-rent fo 2 days at dado rate they for 256 I could. Returned and rented fro ANDY’S for daily rate of 39$

When fan belt failed, they brought me a replacement within 3 hours. (Although Spare tire in replacement had zero pressure!). Quick drop off Saturday morning.

Waited over one hour to get car (long line/slow process).Both cars old (43K and 50K+miles).Had to press Brake pedal almost to floor to stop on first car. Steering wheels on right side.

The office was pretty much deserted when I picked up and dropped off, so I had their full attention. That said, very polite and pleasant, a near-new minivan that was very comfortable for four adults plus gear. I would definitely recommend.

It was quick and efficient to get our car from Grand Cayman Airport Avis. The last day our car didn't start, we tried to get it jumped but car wouldn't start. Called Grand Cayman Airport AVIS and they had someone there in less than 10 minutes to help us make our flight. Super wonderful and helpful in a stressful situation. Thanks to the nice people at Grand Cayman Airport Avis!!

Drop off was good

No one was available at desk for pick up, even though it was during open hours. Had to take expensive taxi to hotel and spend most of next day awaiting for a car to be delivered. Very poor customer service upon arrival.

Response to a problem with the car was very fast.

Rear view mirror on first car was so loose it would not stay adjusted. Replacement car had worn and mismatched tires, One tire was very low and needed inflation. Dashboard tire inflation warning stayed on for entire rental period causing repeated checks of tire psi. Wind shield wipers were old and ineffective on both cars.

The problem was lack of up to date inventory on Grand Cayman The car I initially received was not in great condition, including a key fob that didn't work. I called the Hertz office expressing my disappointment. The next day, Ali, the manager, drove to the other side of the island, 45 minutes away, and swapped out the first car with a newer one in much better condition. He was very apologetic and empathetic. So overall, the service was great. Inventory, though, has apparently been an issue with regard to getting fresh cars from Hertz to the island.

Rented from Hertz in GC several times, and this particular vehicle was without a doubt below the standard we have come to expect of Hertz. The staff at pickup and drop-off were exceptionally friendly and helpful, my overall rating of 'okay' comes from a car in below-average condition. First, the key fob was scotch-taped together and could not be closed, none of the lock/unlock functions worked, including the trunk. The door strap on the front passenger door was completely missing, causing the door to always want to close getting in or out. The gas cap was very hesitant and did not open without a struggle. The gas gauge showed 3/4 tank upon pickup and when filling with gas would not hold more than 3/4 tank, suggesting the gauge may have a problem. These minor inconveniences combined with a car showing numerous dents and dings, a cigarette burn in the driver seat, and basic overall rough use are below the standards we are used to from Hertz.

We booked a compact and they gave us an economy without compensation. A blonde female employee remarked our luggage was not going to fit in the economy car and tried to upsell us to a van. Of course, it would have fit in the card we reserved months ahead of he trip. They didn’t have luggage carts at drop off and the blonde female employee didn’t help, just said it was too bad. There is no effort to help customers. They have no maps. It was an unpleasant interaction all around.

Nice little car..friendly staff

You might want to give people a heads up before they get to the counter about: 1-$20 charge for international driving permit 2-Insurance that they really push is very expensive. Example...our $22 rental turned out to be $88 after all the BS! You know about these add ons....you should let folks know before they get there

Good price for rental. Nice staff.

Yes, it was a cheap rental. But the car was in very poor condition. Rental car had close to 50,000 miles and pre-existing damage all over, and had that nasty used car smell. I understand you get what you pay for, but when I booked an compact class still expected to have a little bit better quality.

Car was what we reserved and was clean and spacious.

Check out was ungodly long. Only two people available to process reservations when there were multiple flights arriving. Most people had to wait outside in the heat. Car pulled considerably to the left.

Car was fine. Drove well no issues.

Employee at the rental counter was borderline harassing with the rental experience. She was very rude, when performing the car inspection before leaving she was so insulting to me & my wife that my wife had to walk away. She repeatedly cut me off while I was speaking saying it was company policy to perform things a certain way. She was so smug and rude, then refused to provide her name & when I asked for her supervisor she gave me the phone number to her own desk. I’ve rented cars in over a dozen countries & I’ve never had anyone treat me that way. It really spoiled the beginning of our anniversary trip.

Be sure to check wuth your insurance company about liability coverage. I thought I was covered anywhere but I called and was told that I am only covered in US & Canada so I bought the liability. Your credit card will cover the collision.

Car was fine

You need to straighten out insurance. I thought I had bought insurance only to arrive at the counter and be told that my insurance was no good with Payless and I had to buy it from them. They claim to know nothing about what I had already bought. Is this some kind of scam.?
