Experience was mostly good. But there is no way to follow up with the local desk and the text they send saying to text back if you need anything doesn’t appear to be monitored which defeats the point. Left a jacket at the service desk and wasn’t able to ever contact them to let them know prior to us returning the vehicle a weak later. Glad we didn’t need anything else.

We were given incorrect information about our vehicle pickup when our flight was delayed. We were told that an agent would be available and when we arrived it was closed even though we were told that an agent would be there.

Beware of the off-hours drop box for keys! I had a 6am flight from PSP so I had to drop off the car before the Alamo desk opened. Boarded my flight. And my connection. When I got to my destination 5 hrs later, I was informed at the next airport that they couldn’t rent to me… because I had an open contract at PSP! Literally spent 1 hr 45 min at the counter trying to get someone at PSP to answer the phone. No idea why they couldn’t close out a contract within 5 hours of opening. Terrible service. Don’t trust the drop box process.

There were more than 100 customers standing in line to pick up a car at Budget, and just one employer at the counter. We stood there for about two hours. And sorry, but you know how many people want to pick up cars at a certain time. Very poor!

I asked to cancel 2 minutes after booking and fought with Kayak and Hertz about that, to no avail. The non-refundable car reservation is new to me, and should be made more obvious. I will not be using Kayak again. This inflexibility was not appreciated.

We booked a vehicle to seat 7 people plus accommodate 4-5 pieces of luggage. At best it could seat 6 and luggage space extremely limited. The vehicle could have been cleaner inside. The attendant at the counter was very good in Palm Springs. Drop off was easy.

the cost of this vehicle was ridiculous. 1 day $350 and when I asked what an additional 8 hours would be I was quoted an additional $300 dollars. Not going to use Avis again. Sorry.

I rented with dollar rentals. There was no one there at the counter. I had to go to another counter. The person at the counter immediately tried to upsell me. Immediately tried to convince me I needed a bigger vehicle. We then found our insurance And tax was going to be another almost 800$ even though our rental was under 600$. This makes no sense to Me and I will never use kayak again. I am letting everyone I know what happened and about this extra cost that seems exponentially excessive. Very unhappy with dollar rentals and with kayak

They rented a 5 year old SUV. The vehicle broke down. I needed to spend half a day waiting for tow, tow driver trying to fix car, going with vehicle back to airport, waiting in line for a new car and driving back to our hotel over 30 minutes away. When I got back to airport, they would not reimburse for Uber ride to appointment or comp the car. Stay away from this rental company or expect a rough ride.

We rent multiple times a year at Palm Springs Airport. We have used all the various rental companies. This rental from Dollar provided the best price for an amazing SUV. Very good experience. Rental prices have skyrocketed at all companies from previous years. Dollar had the best rates this trip and a much superior vehicle.

Very friendly and personable service. Pickup at PSP was a tiny bit confusing - they directed us to go to a flagpole but the location wasn’t obvious. Other than that, the staff was amazing and attentive. At drop off, the shuttle was already out. So rather than having us wait, they decided to just drive us in the car we were driving of. Excellent especially for the cost. Would definitely book again.

Lovely people. Very helpful.

I left a portable battery charger and cord in the center console. I went back to the Enterprise desk at PSP within an hour of returning the car. Was told car was on the ‘back lot’ for an oil change. And the back lot closed at 4pm. Promised to call next day which someone did. They found a cord that wasn’t mine ap obviously it wasn’t from my car. I had to buy a new one which cost over half what the car rental was. My fault yes. But either I was being fed a line about the oil change or else someone helped themselves to a charger. Second bad experience with Enterprise on a row. Rental in Portland lasts a month- reserved a compact but all they had was an aptly names Armada or a a pickup truck. I ended up spending over $100 on gas for the week.

VERY long wait at airport to be escorted to our rental car. Many flights were delayed in arriving; Enterprise check-in counter was not staffed sufficiently. Expensive one-way fee for airport-to-airport.

The counter staff was nice, thorough and efficient...she walked me to the car, helped me load luggage and told me I could leave the car in the lot until my travel companions arrived later on.

It took more time than I thought it would to go through the check in process & more time to extend the contract for an extra day. I had heard that it was "high season" in PSP, which can jeopardize the availability of a rental being available. The check in attendant was friendly, though very busy with multiple cars that arrived at the same time.
