The staff was friendly and patient. The car was clean and in good working order. The rental location was close to the airport terminal.
I was surprised at the counter by the requirement for a liability insurance letter from my credit card company. Because I didn't have that, Europcar's liability insurance more than doubled the price of the rental I reserved through CarRentals.com. A required credit card deposit of 10% of the value of the car was also an unwelcome surprise. These requirements could have been made more explicit in Europcar's and CarRentals.com's terms when making the reservation. Also, the rental agent spent a lot of time going over every little nick and scratch on the car before leaving the lot and upon returning the car; it felt like they were looking for a reason to charge me even more. This is not appreciated in a region with a lot of bumpy and rocky roads.
