Cheap Car Rentals in Reno Airport

When we arrived to Alamo kiosk, they decided to close earlier. Had to rent my car with Avis

Will use Kayak for future trips. My experience was quick and easy.

car was ready when I asked, clean, got great mileage, and destination airport had 24 hour service, so when I arrived at 4 o'clock in the morning, they were there smiling in a great mood happy to take the keys and get me on my way super efficiently.

At pickup we had to wait 45 minutes because they were swamped due to airline cancellations

I could not find my driver's license, so I was not able to rent the car after having made a reservation in advance. I COMPLETELY understand and agree that it was my fault. However, because the car was not taken out of the lot, I should not have been made to pay the insurance or taxes, etc.

Meeting daughter in Reno (both flying in), my flight delayed so I call Hertz to add her as a driver so they could use car to leave airport and eat a meal. No joy whatsoever, person understood the issue but said no way. Said do it when you get to the counter (well I am going to be at 30,000 ft when they arrive. Fortunately my daughter persisted and went to the Hertz counter and since she has not yet converted her ID to her married name she talked them into giving her the car. Reserved a Premium class car, we had 5 people and was not as big as I thought a premiums car would be. Does seat 5 so we made it work. Trunk was small for rated 4 bags (especially when two are female with lots of stuff). So bags were on laps.

The car was provided with only 1/2 tank of gas, but had to be returned full. There was no one to communicate this issue with at pick-up. I asked if I could have a partial refund or the price difference at drop off, and was told no.

You have to go to the hertz line to get the car, where they allow the hertz gold members to cut to the front of the line. They were short staffed, often running to the lot to get more keys for rentals. It took over an hour and half to pickup a prepaid car. Not worth the savings.

Smallest airport ever and everyone was out to lunch so only one line was open and we stood there for 30 minutes and it never moved. Would've taken 2 hours to get to the front and we would've missed our boat reservation so we had no choice but to rent a second car from Enterprise.

Unfortunately the counter was very busy when we got there & I had the feeling they were short staffed. Waited at least 1/2 hour at the counter & the same amount or more waiting for the car in the garage.

Horrible experience wouldn't recommend it to anyone

The rate and car were fine. The experience at pick up was really bad. Each employee seemed to go out of their way to not be kind. The expressed aggrevation and frustration with us and the other people I was able to hear while in line.

The Reno Budget pick up was one of the worst I’ve ever had. I say for 30 minutes waiting for them to bring my car and give me the keys. I watched as numerous clients names were called and drove away on their rental car. I finally walked around to find my car. They had forgotten to tell me it was ready and asked like it was my fault for not being more proactive when all the other clients were in and out very smoothly. It was not good. Literally one of the worst I have had.

I did not like the upsale! The car was booked for one price, the agent deleted it and charged me 390.00, instead of the 45.00 it was originally booked for! Bullshit
