Very disappointed with Hertz. After having my rental booked for over two weeks, I showed up the morning of my rental only to be told I couldn’t get my car. I already had paid for the rental, and the day of they told me they wouldn’t accept my debit card which was already on file, paying for the car. So on Christmas Eve, my family drove all night to get me and my wife where we needed to go. I just wish someone had been more clear with the specifications on being an under 25 driver. All it said online was that more fees may apply, but to show up and not be able to pick up the car I already paid for is just very disappointing

It’s not the car was dirty but it smelled like smoke and that was gross. We notified the rental car company but they didn’t really do or make up for it. That was disappointing

Agent not masked. Not informed when reserving that there would be an additional $200 deposit placed on my credit card. When at the counter I was told that it would be released upon return of car. I don’t know if it has been returned yet, but I was on a trip for an interview during the pandemic and placing an additional $200 would have made my rental decision clear Togo with a different company.

Great price for a full size car and super quick easy pickup at the airport.

Even though the price was great for a Hyundai Sonata we just couldn't get over how dirty, old, well used the car was. The car had close to 40,000 miles and looked it. Large deep scratch down the drivers side but the worst part was the filthy upholestry and windows. We had to stop 2 different times to clean all of the interior windows because you just couldn't see through the haze. The towels were black, literally black after wiping them down. The seats could not be cleaned. This was not a quick wipe up of a spill, this was deep down stained over the years dirty. While the price was great and it was indeed a nice large size car the dirty and super well used automobile makes me score a lot lower than usual.

The steering wheel on my Jetta made it impossible for me to see how fast I was traveling.

I needed to return my rental early and received no discount. Way too many fees. I'LL drive next time.

Car pickup and drop-off was easy. However, the car smelled like marijauna, which made my mother and sister feel sick. The smell was overwhelming. I’m not sure how a car with that smell could have been offered.

Was forced to pick up and drop off at a non-preferred location. Unable to call/speak with anyone at preferred location. Was given incorrect information. Agent at drop off was great but too many other issues to warrant a better rating.

Airport staff was wonderful it was quick easy in and easy out for pickup and drop off. The vehicle itself had all the creature comforts including phone accessibility which helped with the long ride Bluetooth features for the phone etc.

The only thing that could have been better was something a little closer to home but even the 25 minute ride to get the vehicle wasn't terrible.

They don’t have the car I picked online, instead they gave me a big truck I never drive before. The online insurance is fraud, they said the online one doesn’t cover their car, have to spend another 30$ to get their insurance. Anyway this experience is awful

First car had a low tire representative had a nasty attitude when I requested a properly inspected vehicle. Second car wasn’t full of gas and further attitude was received when I asked for a full car. Very poor employees

It would have been a perfect experience except for the fact that after driving for a day and a half, a tire blew out 15 minutes before I was to arrive at the rental agency to return the car. I contacted roadside service and they were very cordial. I filled out the online form then a half hour later was contacted by a "dispatcher ?". We discussed the options and decided that having the car towed and me riding with the tow driver to the rental office would be the fastest. After another hour and no tow, no fax, no call, I called roadside service again. They had no updates for me. At the two hour mark a good Samaritan stopped, changed the tire and escorted me to a gas station and made sure I pumped up the spare tire to a safe driving level. Samaritan = 10, roadside assistance = 0.

Paying nearly twice as much for rental cars as I have in the past. And don't get me started on gas prices. So not laying this on Budget. Businesses having to increase prices to survive due to rising costs, b/c the pandemic did its best to destroy our economy. Elections have consequences. Bad government far worse than the pandemic itself.

Staff we friendly enough at the National center and easy to reach by phone.

The hours of pick-up did not match what I needed and the KayakRental car site did NOT give me that information. Luckily, I called ahead and would have had to pay an extra day just to get a pick-up BEFORE 8 a.m. I know that the flight schedule in Roanoke, VA is not large, but not to be able to pick up a car before 8 when that is the only outlet for National is a bit unlucky.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Only issue was the address I was given to drop off the vehicle in Tucker, Ga, was not the location. My GPS took be to a totally different building. Needed to make a call to find where I was to go. Return desk acknowledged it has been an issue.

Only car I have rented over the last couple of years that did not have active XSM radio or navigation.
