One of the best rental experiences I have had. The Hertz staff were fantastic.
The car was clean and comfortable.
The attendants at pickup were extremely misleading and unhelpful. I ended up getting charged double what they promised me. Also, they filled out a "Customer Survey" on my behalf without me knowing (this showed up in the Customer Check-Out Summary Report). I'm getting my money back.

I was not given my car. I arrived at 12 and both employees attempted to lock the door on me and said they were clocked out. I went to Enterprise next door and they helped me out.
we rented a minivan and took a roadtrip from san diego to salt lake city for christmas. It was the perfect solution. We had enough room for everyone, nobody got wear and tear on their car and it was a great value.
We reserved a 12pm pick-up on Saturday. Arrived at 12:15pm to find that they close at 12pm!!! Other people showed up with the same problem.

The vehicle did not have windshield washer fluid on my trip.
Treated very poorly, right from the start the girl thst checked me in was rude. I had a temporary license extention from DMV and she was giving me a hard time. Then they wouldn’t accept my EDD Card issued by state of California I made a complaint to Enterprise regional manager but have not heard back with an apology
Customer Service improvement is needed through coaching and training

Drop off and pick up were both very quick and easy. The van we rented was brand new and very nice. The whole experience was excellent.
The agent did not explain any charges or policies. Said it was no problem to pick up a 20 min early but then charged me for an extra day without explanation. The guy got indignant when I questioned it and said it would automatically credit if I turned the car in within 24hrs. Naturally it did not.

We got through the paperwork smoothly. As expected, the car was great. Practically no upsell compared to other rentals.
It is located inside a strip mall. The signage on the street was small. I almost missed it at pickup. After returning the car, my uber ride also missed the place and had to do a U-turn.
The service was fast, courteous, and very helpful. The vehicle was clean and works very well for us.
They didn’t have the car I actually reserved so they offered an SUV upgrade. I didn’t want the SUV due to gas prices so all that was left was a car in a lower class than I reserved. It was smaller, the seat was very uncomfortable and it was not cleaned thoroughly.
LA staff at both counter and gate were quick and thorough. Poway staff was wonderful.

Didn't fully understand the built-in fastrak. It would have been helpful if they had just said, 'if you brought your own fastrak, just close the box on the dash/windshield of the built-in fastrak, and then yours will work instead' or something like that.
Instead of small economy car I had a dirty inside and outside pick-up truck. It was an extremly noisy and uncomfortable ride. I was told it was the only available car. Very dissapointed.

Take care if you think you are getting a deal with Budget and picking up your car at the main Car Rental building at the San Diego Airport. My online deal was waiting for me at a distant pickup location, NOT at the AIRPORT even though that was what I had inputted during my order. With no way to get to the other location, I had to rent a large car at three times the price.
