Staff were very friendly. Easy checkin process. The only downside is that our pickup location did not have child seats so not sure why my reservation went through. We were made to travel to another location to pick up a car seat. Did not like this inconvenience but we had no choice.

The evening male Long Beach staff member was particularly good to work with. Everything from checkout to return was fast and easy. There was a problem with the passenger side front seat belt, but the company was willing to handle it. In the end, we just "lived with it" for the few hours left.

Friendly staff and reasonable agreed price.

The additional charges taken from my credit card in excess of 350 dollars for a key that I placed in the overnite key box at the dollar kiosk because there were no dollar employees to check the car in. I was also charged for gas after the vehicle was fueled before its return. Staff called my cell phone over an hour and a half before my departure and I informed them the key was in the secure drop box. I was told I would be called back immediately if it was not there. I did not receive a call regarding the key and 300 dollars was taken from my account for what is showing a lost vehicle key. Unacceptable by any situation.

We arrived at 12:30am and, along with several other customers, to discover they had no cars despite all of us having reservations. They locked the doors & wouldn’t talk to us for awhile, then told us all to come back the next day. We had to take an Uber 45 minutes to and from our hotel. Will not use them again- terrible customer service. What is the point if a reservation if they don’t hold a car for you!?

Rental car rates have become outrageous. But then, to pay that much to rent a car and then have to wait for nearly an hour in line to pick it up after you have flown for hours and still have a 3 Hour Drive ahead is ridiculous.

Perhaps my Owen fault, when I did not bring my credit card from Denmark. Back Home it is Ok to rent with just a debit card. The rent was prepaid and verified.. !! Anyway - my son and I had to go by public transportation instead. After the waiting at Avis San Diego.

I had no idea the locations for pick-up and drop off were not at the arrival and departure airports as requested. Had to get a taxi to take from airport to the p/u location and office was closed for 30 minutes once I arrived, in a pouring down rainstorm. The car was not cleaned and the tools in the cargo area were unsecured adn rolling around on our drive. The drop off location was also offsite and I had to have a friend meet me there and give me a ride to the airport.

We rented a car at Budget. The shuttle picked us up at the airport and took us straight to the car rental facility. Our car was brand new and very clean. We had a similar experience for drop off and everyone rode comfortably and safely. I will definitely rent from Budget again.

Horrible. The car was cosmetically messed up, only in kmph so I had no way of truly knowing how fast I was going. The back seat belt wouldn’t clip in either so not only was it unsafe to drive but for the entire trip it was beeping and the only way to fix the beeping was to have the speakers on full volume to drown it out. Which then led to everyone having to wear earplugs since we were spending the entire day on the road. I reserved the car for $250 and ended up having to pay over $600

I wanted to change the pick up location to somewhere closer to home, but it would’ve charged me more money because of location rates, the vehicle given to me was a sedan when I requested a compact vehicle, the vehicle given to me had an error “engine oil service due now” and they said it’s nothing. Brakes were creaking the whole time driving the vehicle. Was unable to change drop off location as well. They said u would need to go in person to the original location in order to change the drop off to somewhere which defeats the purpose of changing it.

The rental pick up location was advertized as available form the San Diego airport, however, that was not the case. The Hertz office at the airport would not honor the price or reservation. Very disappointing, frustrating, and unnecessarily expensive experience with both Kayak and Hertz.

Drop off was simple but service was poor. Agent did not greet, acted rude, did not ask if everything was okay with rental. Immediately went on the offensive into what I was going to be charged. I asked what the problem was and the response was that the car needed to be detailed and will be out of commission for a few days which I was going to be responsible for. If I would've been notified, I would of ran the car through a $20 car wash and vacuum; never had an issue with simple debris at other rental locations; I was under the impression that the cost of the rental included a wash. Also, never received a receipt of the breakdown for paying 3X the quoted price.

Renting vehicles at Economy Rental Cars on India Ave in San Diego is ways easy and pleasurable. Fernando is the manager and always takes good care of me either directly or through the very capable staff. During my past few visits. I've also been assisted by Z. Isaac and David always greets customers with his friendly countenance. Cars are always clean and mechanically sound. Never had a single mechanical issue from any of the dozens of vehicles I've rented here. Thanks guys.
