car was clean. check-in agent was friendly. however, are some ideas to improve 1. many companies upgrade customers just for the sake of prompting business, and keep happy 2. the car we rented sputtered several times. cars should be maintained more frequently. 3. car had close to 50,000 miles and that's quite a bit on a rental car. should be retired. 4. price to value is no good. I paid a total of $202 for one day of rental. that's is quite a bit. your rate is high, the taxes are high, and everything else is simply too expensive. 5. I booked a Kia Rio 2023, and I received a Nissan Versa with 50.000 miles on it.

After a 6 hour flight, we had to wait 55 minutes in the line for our car. Only 2 people working the counter. We also had to exchange our car on 5/24 and left our personal keys in it by mistake. We filed a lost item report within 30 minutes and we still do not have any indication our keys have been found.

Customer service was poor, took over 1 hour to checkin and get the car from SFO. Several times Dollar has tried to scam me into paying for their liability insurance when my personal car insurance covers liability. This is poor business and I can’t recommend them to anyone on the mere fact that they try to do this to every person that rents a car with them.

We arrived at the airport rental counter to find probably 100 people waiting in line. After a couple minutes of waiting, guests at the front of the line informed us that there were no cars available, even if you had a prepaid reservation. We decided to use a different agency.

I paid extra to get a midsize SUV and the advertisement was for a jeep cherokee. They gave me an older model mitsubishi outlander that had damage, scuff marks, and stains. It was fine but not worth the extra money I paid to rent it.

The Toyota 4Runner we received was nice but not newer like we are used to. That said I understand that there is a shortage of newer vehicles and I am sure that coupled with the back and forth of the pandemic has not made things easy on the rental industry. The woman who checked us in was amazing! Incredibly sweet, efficient, personable and had us out the door quickly. Also the deposit was $150 when in the past it has been $500 with other rental companies. Granted you get the money back but I’ll definitely consider Fox again for this reason and the customer service was a 10+ The cleanliness of the restrooms would be my only real complaint. But they were also very busy and moving clients through quickly so I’m sure the bathrooms are the last thing on their agenda for the day. Overall a great company to do business with.

Van was not available and we were not informed until we arrived even though they knew it would not be available. The courtesy driver told us that vans are regularly not available and that customers always have to figure out alternative plans last minute. This lead to a 4 hour delay while we looked for a rental because everything was closed and cars were scarce. I will never consider this company again.

It was a nightmare for the pickup. We had to wait 1h. It was a public phone at the pick-up platform for customer to call the companies (for rental car) at the airport but it was not working. No information in the rental documents that WE HAVE TO CALL the company to ask a shuttle !! I took that company at the airport to save time but I lost time with my family. A driver from another company called AVR Rental (2 times !) and they came...after 1 hour ! I will not recommend this company. During the time we waited, we saw 20 times the others shuttles of others companies. Also the return time was very early (office was closed) and the location was not at the airport, so I had to take an Uber and had extra charges. Not a good value for money and a bad experience.

The employees were kind, resourceful and worked hard. The car started, stopped and turned as expected.

The location stinks-be sure to plan on the time it takes to get there from SFO. The building is hot and dour-I feel for the employees! The car was not clean. I would pay extra to get a car at the SFO rental center next time.

It should be clearly noted on the vendor website that this is an OFF SITE airport pick up. We waited 30 minutes for a shuttle pick up that fits 6 person max in a poorly maintained van. Additional customers were left behind for another 30 minutes for later pickup. The EZ rental car in other airport locations outside of San Francisco were unlike this branch in its service, location and overall appeal. We were deeply disappointed with our rental service at the San Francisco EZ Rental car. We would rather pay a bit more for a more convenient airport location and more piedessional service the next time we're in San Francisco.

A comfortable late model car

The pickup drop off required almost 2 hours since the location is another 5-8 miles from where other rental car companies are located. And once at facility there are only 2 agents who take care of a long line. They push upgrades like the tolls for the bridge without explaining alternatives. You can pay cash everywhere and do online payment for Golden Gate Bridge. So avoid the prepayment if you are not crossing the bridge several times a day.
