Alamo did not honor the vehicle level i had reserved. I reserved a Kia Rio or equivalent and when i got there i was offered a Kia Picanto an told me that they were the same level. Defínete Kia Picanto is a smaller vehicle. They told me that if i wanted a Kia Rio i had to pay an upgrade. My reservation clearly said Kia Rio and i show my reservation. I didn’t pick up my vehicle and had to rent a vehicle with another agency. It was a very bad experience and had to spend more than what i had planned. I saw other custommers having the same issues, not a good practice.

I was suppose to pay $65 at counter at pickup. They had no record of the 77 dollars I already paid with you! And told me that KAYAK was a scam and I shouldn’t have bought insurance at time of booking with kayak. I ended up paying 295 dollars for rental w their insurance when initial agreement was 165 for rental an insurance when I booked with You Kayak. Also they held 450 of my money. The car they brought me was beat up and not even road worthy. Had to wait for another car. Then spent the majority of my vacation trying to get a hold of KSYAK CUDTOMER SERVICE TO FINF OUT DHI TOOK MY 77 dollars. Still do not no where this money went. Fast forward when time to drop off no one was there to receive car at 530am as agreed and had to leave key under the mat . Very very very bad experience with budget and KAYAK

They didn’t have the vehicle I requested available. So I was given a microbus. However that required a special insurance, I was charged $90 extra. This is on top of an insurance we had already purchased, but no problem extra insurance wouldn’t hurt. They also put a $900 hold on the account, that they would return 7-10 days after drop off. That was all the money we had for this trip. I was never told about this $900 hold or we would have gone a different route as far as renting a car.

I booked the van 3 months before my vacation. They told me that the van was not available and that there was nothing they could do. I did my check in a day before to confirm. Had confirmation number and everything. I also called a week before but no one picked up. Horrible experience. Will never book again

If you book your car in San Salvador before 6:30am no one will be there. The agent usually arrives around 6:30. Ensure you have a translator or know Spanish. The car we got was an old car the engine light came on on day 3. Car did last the entire 10 day trip though.

It was a night mare; They didn’t care about the reservation and they don’t have any car available. After two hours they gave us a car, the car was extremely low. The worst part was; they told us the issurance we got with you doesn’t count with them and we had to get another their insurance. We have to pay more money than what we supposed to pay. The front desk lady was nice; but I got screwed with the money
