We had a Toyota Highlander The car for 6 was quite small to accommodate all of us with room for luggage. Otherwise everything was very good

Very difficult process to pick up the car. 2 hour wait in line (even though our rental was already booked) and another hour to actually get to our car and get the keys.

Dollar advertises anything on the lot hum ! we booked the Managers special and was offered a compact and had to pay for an upgrade to an Impala not impressed ! but it was a clean car

There was only one agent in attendance, so the line moved very slowly. With that said our agent was very pleasant.

Where's Sanford? Don't know about Sanford, but I can tell you about Orlando. I remember a story about a family on vacation, And they stopped for gas. They all went inside to use the restroom. They all came out, got back in, and went on their merry way. After about 10 minutes, the mother noticed her 5 year old was eating a cookie. As she couldn't recall buying cookies, she asked little Buford where he got the cookie. He replied " on the floor in the bathroom."

If you’re supposed to open the desk at 8 o’clock they need to be there at 8 o’clock the other rental car the staff was there 20 minutes far ahead of time to be ready for customer

I rented a mustang(or equivalent) from Sanford to take to Daytona. I thought it would be fun for me and my teenage girls for a day and drive to New Smyrna for the day and then drive A1A. We got Kia and told no sports car available…sorry. The Kia smelled like cigarette smoke. I CC was charged an additional $200 that I didn’t know about. I called customer service. Sat on phone for some time. Betsy(nice enough, but difficult to understand) told me the $200 was a deposit and would be removed, fine( was not told this when car was picked up) she told me 10% could be taken off bill. I said, “unacceptable, I specifically got a sports car for a day, when I HADt transportation to get me from the airport to Daytona. This was the ONLY reason why I got the rental was for the sports car. For the experience with the girls! And now I have a regular car that smells like cigarette smoke. Now I swore she said she would take 50% off( but it definitely wasn’t 10% at this point ) and A voucher for three days of a rental car that she would send to my email for further use. I said this would be fine. I couldn’t get into my email at the time due to internet. The vouchers are for one way, which when coming to Daytona I always would need two way AND the vouchers are not even for the kind of car that I tried to rent in the first place! I at least deserve this! And the best part is that my invoice bill was $130.15. I drop off the car and my final bill is $130.15. I said to the lady, “ um, there was supposed to be a discount on my bill.” She states, there was 10% discount added. Well that would have made my bill $117.50 then since my initial total was $130.15. What else was added?!? I filled it with gas, nothing else should have been charged! AND she stated she was taking 50% off my bill! I am so exhausted, angry and disheartened by this whole experience. I feel completely snowballed. I’m just disgusted. Lisa Prien

I did not like the treatment they gave us I was on vacation with my family in Orlando and it took 5 hours to give me the vehicle I paid for it in advance and it was a very bad treatment they did not comply with the delivery

Great service at pickup. Hard to read Avis signs in the dark at the airport in Naples.

Cannot believe how long it took to rent and return. Avis is still using dot matrix printers? I could hard,y read the contract. After entering information into the website, I still had to wait while they re-examined my credit card and drivers license. Then pickup location could not find the car....personnel had to got out and push the emergency button to locate car. Drop off was located inside the rear entrance to a mall...my gps could not find this location. Very difficult and not too customer friendly. Again, had to wait at return counter for “paperwork” to be processed. As opposed to Enterprise, Avis is in the dark ages. Are they still “trying harder.” Rental car companies need to use Enterprise as the standard to meet. Al Veeck
