Checking the car out from SRQ took over an hour. Reason for long lines? Short staff and same process for getting a car that Budget used in 1980’s . It should have been faster.

Your site lets you make same-day reservations, but Hertz doesn’t accept reservations made less than 24 hours in advance. If I’d have known my flights would be cancelled, clearly I’d have made a reservation then. Budget Rental was able to provide us a nice vehicle immediately with no reservations. I can’t trust any travel plans made through your site because of this.

Hertz counter at SRQ closes at midnight. We missed a flight connection and were put on the very last plane to SRQ that arrived at 12:10 AM. Hertz had somebody hang around until all the customers on that plane who had reservations were taken care of.

Wish the Hertz in Estero had Sunday drop off so we didn’t have to drive the 30 minutes to the airport. Even if they just had a 1-2 hour window for drop off on Sunday.

My reservation was wrong. Tried correcting it at the counter. The sales person fixed the issue but had the days wrong. I ended up paying way more then expected. I called hertz to fix the issues was treated very poorly on the phone by the customer service rep. He was unwilling to fix the issue. He talked over me and wouldn’t let me explain the situation. I ask for his supervisor only to be given excuses as to why I couldn’t speak to him. It was very frustrating. I will never rent from them again. It was my first time and will be my last.

We discovered after driving 7 miles that the gas tank had not been filled. So we had to go looking for fuel. Then, we notified Hertz. When we turned in the car in West Palm Beach, after having to shell out my cash, all Hertz would give me was a credit for a new rental.

Waiting lines continue to be unbearable, 1.5 hours to pickup my rental vehicle. Clerks are very courteous but over worked. I was charged double For this rental. I will contacting the Budget office on Monday 1/30.

Budget agents were very nice. Overall experience was enjoyable. So glad vehicle was there for me to pick up and no issues. Maybe some text messages reminding vehicle still ready to give peace of mind.

Pickup was a bit slow, as it was Easter Sunday and the Dollar and Thrifty desks were closed, and I had to queue up at Hertz. Otherwise, the service was fine. The car was OK, but could have had more baggage space behind the third row of seats.

$300 in surprise add-ons after paying the original amount to rent the car. Why advertise a price online and charge that price, to only add to the bill once your at the counter and have no other choice. I will not be renting from dollar again

Waited in line for 1-1/2 hours, and then the lone agent at the counter (who was already working at a snail's pace) announced he was going on break with 20-30 people still waiting in line. When I finally got my vehicle it was filthy. Dirt and spills on the interior, outside unwashed, sticker residue on the windows, and the rearview mirror was coated with so much grime I couldn't see out of it. On top of that it only had 1/4 tank of gas and there was no one around to show it to. When I returned the car the agent told me that I needed to take a picture of the odometer and fuel gauge when I picked it up, otherwise I had to bring it back with a full tank! The lady next to me complained that her car was empty as well.

Understaffed with a 1.5 hour pickup line for prepaid cars. The vehicle was not what we expected or what was stated online. It also had interior damage and was visibly dirty. Will not rent here again.

Maintenance light kept coming on tried to call several times basically was left on my own. The tire pressure light came on for two tires at separate times and had to fill them. I felt like I was driving an used truck that I had to fix. For $300 on vacation it sucked!!!!

They share a rental desk with other rental companies. It was busy and they only had one agent working the desk. He did a great job and was moving really fast, but it was just one guy. When it came time for our rental, the agent had to login again to the payless system, which took about 5 minutes. So, in all, we waited approximately 50 minutes to get our vehicle, causing us to miss a dinner reservation. I just wish I had known prior to renting that this would be the case, I guess it was still a good value, but unexpected delay.

We did not have a line at the check in so we got waited in right away. The car was ready when we got there. It was clean and the perfect size for 4 people, it for a Jeep Compass. Staff was friendly. A map of the area would of been nice.

Car was clean and new. Pickup and drop off were easy.

Charged me for 7 gallons of gas after I returned it with a full tank. They refunded the charge after I complained, but I don't see how it was applied in the first place. I had filled up 2 minutes from the drop off location.

We upgraded and extended our rental. The guy at the airport couldn't have been more pleasant or helpful. Upgraded us to a 2026 Suburban and only charges us for a regular minivan. Being a family of 5 this was very helpful.

According to Kayak, I was supposed to be charged an agreed-upon amount from March 29 through April 30. However, Alamo charged me for a one-month rental at the rate I had been quoted for the entire period and then tacked on an additional fee for the remaining 2 days.

I canceled reservation after 45 minutes in line with 40 people despite booking with priority. One person at the Sarasota airport counter. Crazy the other person left (originally 2 at counter) and never returned. Dollar rent a car had NO wait and a very efficient person working. Boo Avis.

The Avis desk is understaffed and it takes much longer to pick up a car compared to other companies. I shouldn’t have to wait an hour to pick up a car. The drop off was chaotic. It wasn’t clear at all what you needed to do. Enterprise and Hertz are much better customer experience. And no one is using that old fashion printer anymore. It’s time to modernize!

When we arrived at the “service” desk there was a line of approximately 40 customers waiting to be “serviced”. There was a “preferred” customer line, but that line was almost as long as the “non-preferred” customers. It was over an hours wait to get “served”. I have two words for Avis — never again.

We will not use Avis again. #1 - we reserved a minivan and they didn’t have one when we arrived. Instead we were given a smaller vehicle which made our 8 hour drive a nightmare with our kids. #2 - the car looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. #3 - we were charged for a full tank of gas and after we drove away realized it only had a quarter tank.

The car was nice.

I called to let them know I needed the car two days earlier. Had to leave a voice mail and got no return call. Didn't know where to find the shuttle. Took forever to process paper work. When we went to return the car, there was no one there. We had to call two different numbers to get someone there to check the car in and give us a ride to the airport. HORRIBLE!!!! And it wasn't cheap either.
