It was easy to pick up the car and the location of the pick up was convenient. But were given the wrong parking slot which became confusing. We thought we were renting a “full size” car. The car at best was a mid size. We had difficulty fitting our golf clubs in the car. It was a struggle every time. That was disappointing.

Overall appearance, cleanliness, and safety features were very good.

Although the counter attendant had told me there would be an operator’s manual in the glove compartment, there was none. It took extra time to figure out how to work accessories since I was unfamiliar with the model/type of car. Driver’s floorboard space was very small. Access to cup holder’s in front was too far back - awkward

I was told that, because I had my own insurance policy if I had an accident I would have to pay a daily fee for each day the vehicle was not rentable. Is this true. I have never heard of this unfair policy before.

Reserved an economy car but they stated none were available and tried to give me an electric vehicle despite there being extremely limited charging stations on Hilton Head and Savannah (I actually didn’t see a single one the whole trip). Instead of a complimentary upgrade they charged us $20 a day for a non-electric luxury vehicle.

Car was not cleaned when I got in ... food in the back seat. Also gas tank was only 3/4 full even when the contract said it was Full. Didn't notice until I was 10 miles from airport. When I returned the car to tell the customer representative at the counter, I was told that since I didn't mention this issue when I picked it up, they could not do anything. Obviously, last time I will rent from Dollar .....

Our flight was delayed 6 hours getting us into Savannah airport 11:30. Payless had our car waiting and ready for us even after the airport office had closed.

The Payless counter in Savannah is closed. A sign directed me to the Budget Rental Car counter which had a long line and only 2 agents. There were people standing around for hours waiting for a car to become available. We got lucky and didn't have to wait once we finally checked in, but the car we got was not cleaned. At that point, we had been in line for an hour, so we went ahead and took the dirty car. It smelled like sour milk, but at least it was the size we reserved and otherwise was issue-free.

More rental cars are definitely needed in Savannah!!

Our flight was delayed and by the time we got to rental car counter, nobody was there to help us. We were stranded. Had to take over a $100 Uber ride to our Airbnb. Very unprofessional. Last person working should have checked reservations and waited for those who were coming in on that late flight...I have never had this happen before.....

Arrived at appointed time to pick up reserved car to find twenty people in front of me and utter chaos around the desk. Two and one-half hours later, I had the SUV I had reserved a week before. Agents were courteous and efficient, but process was ridiculous.

The car itself was nice

I did not like the impersonal service and being sent to the back of the line when my corporate id did not work. The representative did not put any effort into figuring out my problem. I had to go on the website myself and figure out that I was an emerald club member and make an account, which was very simple. It took 45 minutes for me to get a car. Also, I thought the price was going to be lower than estimated since I reserved the car for 2pm -11pm but only used the car until 6pm. The price was actually more than estimated.

The rental was actually with Avis and not Enterprise (I cancelled one booking and rebooked). The experience was mediocre because I rented a standard SUV and when I got there they did not have any available. The guy at the counter convinced me the car they had which was like a van would get much better gas mileage than an SUV. It did not and was a rather strange car - had things like auto brakes that I have never had before and scared me when driving and they randomly came on....

The Enterprise staff was friendly and very helpful. I had asked for an economy car and Kayak gave me a luxury car. When we arrived in Savanah the Enterprise rep asked me if the assigned car was okay and I requested a smaller one. The rep put us in an economy car (my initial request) and saved us $200. Maybe I should have rented directly through Enterprise.
