Had a terrible experience. Showed up to pick up car and there was noone at the Avis counter for 45 minutes. Then due to being overbooked my car was not cleaned or sanitized.

Very helpful and sympathetic AVIS staff. Reservation was cancelled at the desk with minimal issues.

I can't remember renting a car and being charged a mileage fee above and beyond the base price, taxes and other fees that are usually included in the quoted total. Even then, when I was presented with the "estimated cost" that substantially exceeded the price quoted on Kayak, Avis was only "estimating" 80 miles @ $0.30/mile when the rental agreement clearly stated that the car would be returned at a location >300 miles away! Very deceptive on both Kayak and Avis' parts! Thankfully, I had the option of driving my own vehicle and the reservation was cancelled.

Easy pick up and drop off. Employees were great!!!

Nissan Versa as a mid size, while the car got good gas mileage it was small and did not drive well, affected dramatically by slight breeze and steering pulled. It was a challenge to drive for a road trip.

It was very easy to schedule the reservation online. The price was unbeatable. The staff was very friendly and pickup was smooth.

We had cancelled a reservation from Hertz when we reserved the Thrifty rental because of a $170 price difference. Since the companies are affiliated somehow, the agent could see both rentals, even though one was cancelled. Rather than trying to investigate more using confirmation numbers, she just picked one and told us we would need to call the hotline to make sure it was the right one. The hotline was also not very helpful, so we just prayed it was the right one and we wouldn't be out a a couple hundred dollars. It is still unclear what exactly the cost will be, as there are still charges pending on our credit card.

Was told that no cars were available. They said Mondays are their busiest days and they could not give me a car that I reserved 2 weeks in advance. But they could share cars with National and lend them cars.

The staff at both Shreveport and at the Dallas Fort Worth facilities where very prompt and efficient. I was told to book ahead online to save time and money. I will use them again on my return trip in November.
