When reserving the car online I did not have an option of whether to accept or decline. When arriving at the Gaborone airport to pick up the car I declined collision damage and theft protection because my credit card provides this coverage. I also returned the car one day early so I should have received a credit for returning the car on the 10th day instead of the 11th.. However, on the day I picked up the car I was charged for the full 11 days plus the cost for the collision damage and theft protection waivers. I called the Hertz office in Cape Town and said they would look into this and get back with me. However, it has been nearly two weeks since I contacted them and have had no response.
