Cheap Car Rentals in St. John's

Everything went as smooth as can be. They didn’t have a van but we got a X-Large SUV.

Ok the Kayak reservation site, I selected the pickup time of 12:00 on a Saturday. The location closes at 12:00!! By complete luck, I saw their hours on their web site that morning and called them around 11:40. They agreed to wait for me until around 12:15. Another couple came in behind me (they also selected 12:00 pickup time), so they were lucky that I had called ahead and they benefited from my call. Otherwise the branch would have closed and pick up would not have been available until Tuesday… due to Monday being a Thanksgiving holiday. Takeaway message: The proposed pickup times on Kayak’s site are not synced with the agencies and cannot be completely trusted.

We received a brand new car. It was great as we travelled a lot with it. The GPS console wasn’t working 100% of the time. But aside from that it was great.

The parking lot for picking up car is a bit far from terminal. Drop off was a bit confusing since there is no drop off lanes. But no bad. Friendly staff

We landed, and we did the paperwork . They didn't have the vehicle that I reserved but they gave me a upgrade for the same price they quoted. Which was very nice. To this point I'm still using the vehicle but would suspect the return will be just as easy....thanks so much Budget.. Nathan

Easy checkin experience. Had the car within 2 mins. Just as advertised, clean and smoke free. Would rent again!

We are used to a SUV with a built-in GPS which this vehicle didn't have - so that was a disappointment. We would have even paid a little extra for that feature but it wasn't even offered.

The staff was good at the St Johns Airport even though we had to wait. There was a problem at the number of cars available, but Kayak came through.

I reserved a RAV4 and ended up with a Trailblazer. MPG not as good nor the trunk room. The lady at the Dollar pick up site was very nice.

After the first day of our rental there were electronic problems in the Ford SUV had problems. The staff of National were helpful in replacing the car with another. Check in and check out were both done efficiently.
