I accidentally placed an order for a car at a different hertz 25 minutes down the road. I thought I had ordered from the hertz by the airport. The rep I was working with wanted to help me but didn’t know how. It is also of note that the place 25 minutes away, closed at noon, and I had a 1 pm pick up. So even if I made it to the correct place, I would have still been out of a car. After the rep roamed the building for 15 minutes trying to find out how to help me he came back and told me I had to call the 1-800 number, that they couldn’t help me. I called, and every time the automated service would hang up on me. I was in town for a wedding, and fortunately a friend was able to come pick me up. While I waited, all the reps yelled to each other about looking forward to getting drunk that night, not once asking if I needed any help. Hertz should change their name to Hurts.
