Cheap Car Rentals in Syracuse Hancock Intl Airport

Being charged an extra 250.00 at the airport was a terrible surprise and should have brought to our attention well beforehand. I felt I was being taken and the budget rep also felt bad and stayed it happens all the time. Shame on you! You’ve lost a customer and possibly more!

Pick-up at SYR took almost an hour because desk was understaffed. 2 people serving 40-50 Budget AND Avis customers in line. And line was just as bad when we left. The price ended up at $160 a day excluding prepaid gas for a Camry -- really poor value. And more than what was advertised in booking. The staff at SYR were good. And drop off was easy.

I waited in line for an hour. There was one person working the desk. There were still 14 people ahead off me. I did not have another hour to spare, as my meeting was fast approaching. I called Budget to cancel because I COULD NOT GET IT. They promised a refund. Iv'e called several times. I never got a car and never received the EIGHT HUNDRED dollar refund. STAY AWAY FROM BUDGET

CSR’s were lacking in courtesy.

I reserved weeks ahead of time, but when I got there, thu said that they didn't have a car. They explained that they book many more reservations than they actually have cars for. They didn't seem to care about that policy negatively affecting travelers. I waited for two hours, and was eventually able to get a car. Th clerk wasn't apologetic in the slightest.

Dollar refused to rent me the car because I had a debit card. They had a policy document they showed me that clearly stated they would accept a debit card if the card carried a Visa or MC logo (it does), and I could provide proof of a return flight (I showed them my ticket). They still refused saying that is not what their policy means. I missed my return flight and had to purchase a hotel stay and new airline ticket because of Dollar employees at Syracuse

Hello there, I made a reservation and was not able to take a care upon arrival into Syracuse. I didn’t have a physical credit card in hand and therefore they wouldn’t lend me the vehicle. I have tried calling to dispute the charges that were made on my credit card for $22 for insurance for the car I never was able to take. If someone could call me to resolve these charges for a service I never received it would be greatly appreciated. (315)-725-8292 is my cell phone. Best, Frank

When I reserved online it said I could add drivers for free. When I picked up the car I did not have the other drivers w me and was told no problem and to come back before we left later that afternoon. I picked up from Donna and she was great, tried to give me a car I didn't reserve even though they had the one I requested but ultimately got the car I wanted. Later that afternoon when I came to add the additional drivers I was told it would be $3 a day for each of them. I told the girl one of the drivers only needed to be on for the 1st 2 days. She was overly rude, rolling her eyes with an attitude towards us. She told me it didn't matter and walked away. Went and got another employee to help w one of the other drivers cards. When I turned in the car not only was I charged for them both but the entire time when one of them only drove for that day that we got the vehicle and the night.

I was able to exchange the car I had ordered for a larger car that was available for no additional cost, Thanks!

a different rate was offered online and on the phone from in person for extending the trip this means that I had to drive to the airport to book an extra day for my rental
