The charges agreed on online, didn’t reflect the final price… one way drop off was purchased and an additional fee was charged when picking up. I was also forced to take the minimum insurance, even though I have my own insurance!

We got there and they said they had no cars despite the fact we reserved one. Ended up not being able to rent a car at all in Tulum

You had no cars! I waited two days before taking a taxi to playa where I got a car immediately. It was literally faster to take a taxi to playa, rent a car, and drive back. Terrible experience.

We showed up at the office to pick up our car and the agent said that even though we had a reservation, there were no cars because they decided to send all of the cars to Cancun. We pointed out we had a valid reservation but he said that doesn't obligate them to hold a car for us if they can rent it at a better price at some other location. He said he couldn't help us and offered no additional assistance.

I arrived just after pick up time and was met by a rude staff member informing me that they have no cars today. After explaining that I had a reservation he just replied; "it doesn't matter there are no car today". So I had to walk around the other rental places and had to pay more.

check out was quick with van service to departing airline

-took almost 2 hours to rent the car - car had not been cleaned inside. We found wrappers and bottles -cost of mexican insurance was not disclosed til we were there - credit card hold was not disclosed til we were there - very poor English speaking skills - although we booked with payless, it ended up being a FOX car. We weren't sure this was even the same rental reservation we made til they found us in their computer system. - this was a typical hook and bait scam. The online price for the week was so cheap that we realized something else would be charged, but $457.00 for a week rental? GIVE ME A BREAK!!! I feel totally violated and scammed by this experience.

I was refused the car on the day of original reservation - "sorry we do not have cars, will bring you one later in the afternoon". No car in the afternoon only the following late morning. Very poor service of Hertz, not even apology, would not recommend to anyone.
